It’s not that bad. But honestly everything about the Apache is superior. I can see why it was replaced by the AH-64. If only the DCS version had stingers/AIM9 for dealing with Mi choppers on Rotorheads.

I really appreciate this honest review. So sick of paid CZcamsrs and shillers. The external model is terrible, community mods beat it. Hopefully it will improve, the gazelle had a broken flight model but to be fair it’s now excellent to fly.

I am so happy I found this video by chance somewhere in the recommendation section and clicked on it. This heli looks like visual quality from some year 2010 last-last-gen console game, and the polygon glitching on 00:13 is a no-go. Absolute no buy. I stay with my beloved Black Square Duke and the SUPERB looking Apache and Hind, thank you very much for being the first CZcamsr finally making an uncensored video about how absolute bad and lowest-polygon 3D mesh and lowest-quality textures this aircraft REALLY looks like, instead of keeping the camera focused in the primary flight display (and nothing else) at all times to hide the truth. ;)

I've slept on it for two Nights and have come to the decision to buy the Kiowa after all. We've simply waited too long to give up now. Yes, I also want a nice 3D Model in DCS and not like a Module from 2010. But I'm 55 years old now and People aren't getting any younger. As a Jane's Longbow II Fan, I have to have the Kiowa. So for me it's a case of closing my eyes and getting on with it! The CEO of PolyChop is from Germany like me, so he'll get my Money. 😊

I'm really sad about what I see, so many Modeling errors. Starting with the Cockpit, the M4, errors on the Helmet, wrong Colors and so on. It looks like a free Mod but not like it costs 70 euros. Sorry, I can't buy it like that. 😭 The F-4E in VR is absolutely beautiful! Probably the highest quality of detail available at the moment.

You know when I saw your first post in the forums I wasn’t sure I saw the same thing as you. The sound issue I definitely agreed with but not the visuals until this video. That’s disappointing to see how much lower quality it is. If this was EA I would say no big deal it’ll get fixed but to come out and say it’s a Fully Released module is where I’m having issues. Fully Released in my book means 95% of this bugs and visuals are worked out and it’s good off the shelf. I’m surprised the people who got the module early didn’t say anything. I hate to say this but do you think since they got it free from Polychop they felt obligated to say things in a positive way and not mention things that needed fixing? It could be that they didn’t want to say anything and it would push it back weeks in development, I don’t know. It is a little disappointing though because I can see those differences quite easily. I did mention the sound thing during a live stream and they all said it sounded fine, so I thought it was just my setup. After getting the module, it’s not my setup and I’ve tried using three different headset and the speakers on my 80 inch TV I use for DCS and they all sounded super low with hardly any engine sound etc… To me sound is a big deal since it’s one of the senses we use in simulators to tell us what’s going on with the aircraft. So to me it’s a big deal. The visuals are a big deal also only because they made it sound like it was a 100% ready to go right out of the box module. I’m not a video game designer so I don’t know how they do all this but these visuals don’t look like it should in today’s market. Compare them to the Heatblur F4 and it’s night and day! So to make a long story short, I now agree whit what you mentioned. I think that was you in the forums! I hope it was 😮😅

Thor, thank you very very much for your videos documenting this. And thank you for defending your views in the forum post. I have read all five pages now and there are a lot of people who do not care about external model fidelity who are calling us all whiners or unreasonable. This is too much price tag for the model that we got. It feels like it is in 2015.

I had a bad feeling about it, which is why I didn't pre-order. I was really looking forward to the Kiowa, but it is what it is. Thanks for the warning. Let's hope the BO-105 does better.

I was really looking forward to this module, high fidelity... really? And lack of damage model... why? Casmo TV quoted that its ready and his videos with his choice of skin look impressive so i am confused... have they released on old version by mistake? From your video this is early access and needs a price that resembles current state not this current sting.

Full price yet half finished! Doesn't seem quite right does it? I was looking forward to this one, but I think I'll wait and see if they address all the valid points you have raised. The lack of a damage model is the most disappointing.

Realmente dá pra se observar esses pontos citados, principalmente em relação as texturas e de não haver nenhuma modelagem quando o helicóptero estaria se "destruindo", eu também havia notado alguns sons estranhos, como os sons do hellfire na live do 107th_maverick. Não sei dizer se mudou algo na build lançada hoje, 05/06/2024.

When I see the free disk space required for this module is only 242mb on the E-shop page I knew its external 3D model not gonna looking good......... Apache is 1.95gb and Phantom is 8gb just so you know 🤕🤕.

Works great on my 4070/5600x at native 1440p (DLAA) with 75ish lows at max everything with shadows down one setting and only RT reflections as they actually make a visual difference. 12 GB of VRAM is not enough to run the highest shadow setting in this game without microstutter and each RT feature takes VRAM as well. Even though it's not reporting in afterburner you are swapping to system RAM which is why it plays bad.
