I was once hiking with my wife and kids in the woods. We had bear spray with us, I had a 🗡️and black cat fire works. A black bear came out the woods just like in your video walking towards us, reach for my fire works lit it up threw it in front of it, that bear 💩 itself while running as fast as superman back in the woods, I still remember it.
In black bear country a park ranger informed me that brown (Grizzly) bears will false charge and retreat to test you. But not black (they come in a variety of colors) bears. When they charge you, they WILL attack.
Brown bears are very territorial and protective of their babies. So often their aggression displays are just to chase you off. Black bears are not so territorial and actually mother black bears are not very protective of their cubs. So when a black bear is charging you, it's likely because it wants you for food, not to get you out of the area.
The amount of people who are claiming this to be a brown bear is pretty funny. If you are trying to judge a bear species by its color, you really should not go in the woods.
Whatever you do Just don’t run walk or stay still but if you don’t feel comfortable walk not fast but slowly it will understand you don’t want anything to do with it but run if you wanna get eaten alive
Why do people always say “Hey bear” in all these bear sighting videos? Did a bear expert tell them that that prevents you from getting killed? And why not “WHOA!” or “BACK IT UP!” or “GRRRRR!” (not that I think any of this will work) but why specifically “Hey Bear” in every bear video? Is it just an involuntary reaction when you see one you say “Hey Bear”? It sounds as if they are persistently trying to greet the bear and that his name is in fact, Bear.
Yea black bears come in various colors but they about is long ears are pointed more than short and round and no hump on the back. Grizzlys have a dish like face shorter looking muzzle round ears and a bump on their back and a grizzled hair appearance
That bear knew you were there long before it saw you and not instinctively scared like it should be. To me I would call this stalking behavior. I hike alone in the deep backcountry. Personally I would not take such a risk that close since he can cover the distance in about 3 seconds or less if he decides to attack. I likely would have shot it because it is TOO familiar with humans. Fortunately it worked out for you.
The title is wrong. It’s a brown bear which tend to be more of a threat.
Wow, really quite a big one! Must have been super unnerving
Wyf is this Hey Bear stuff?
Next stop the local store to buy fresh underwear 😂😂😂 ❗️❗️
Maybe try asking the appropriate pronouns next time?? 🤔

Bear:oh hewoooo🙂 Humans:hey bear😰
Bear: "Damn it...more tourists." 😑
Do I have to state the obvious? He was the cameraman, and she obviously didn't watch her footing.
