I love it!!! KJ USA needed some freshness to get him back on his game. Prodigy had been bleeding for years because of poor equipment & discs. Don't believe me watch the 2024 Preserve tournament. Also Burr & Isaac both have been very vocal about the brand.

I personally don’t believe prodigy is going out of business. Say what you want about them, but their pro team has taken a ton of podium finishes. The discs aren’t the problem, it’s the negative image they have on the internet dragging them down. The disc quality is fine, and their plastic feels great.

lol bro that’s not how you see if you can cash. Just sign up and play. There’s a huge difference in tournament play and casual solo rounds. For example my friend rated 890 and me 960 battle it out at dubs and casual rounds with him beating me when ever he’s hot but, same tournament I’m in open and he’s rec and I smoke him every time. Some players like myself do better in tournaments and pressure situations but my boys freezes and starts making dumb decisions and horrible putts. Anyways I’m not trying to bash you I just think you gotta put your balls on the table and do the dam thing. And by the way I’ve only cashed once in open out of 5 tournaments I’ve played but I was super stoked to get that $30

Being 18 had much to do with it. At that age anyone is at least somewhat naïve. We don’t know what we’re missing. Seemingly small worries are meaningless. But also, we generally have fewer needs. Our bodies have more endurance and are more resilient. Moreover, if we are happy, our needs are only subsistant. I don’t know how much Discmania had to do with it-maybe they supplied him with opportunity. I tend to think it was a life of ignorant bliss-I mean that only in a good way!

Kevin playing well is good for the game--he is an exciting player. Prodigy seems to handle its players badly. Not to mention, that it makes many of its discs in China.

Prodigy took their manufacturing to China and quality plummeted to the point pros for them would search for 5 year old discs that actually flew well. Tough to sell new discs when even the pros want the old stuff. Also they are killing it with the European tour where they can pay players less and push the product.

Prodigy reached out to Innova to obtain him. Props to prodigy for that. Kevin was definitely struggling and his sales were low. Hopefully both Prodigy and Innova can benefit from this move forward. Big KJ fan wish him the best.

Ok, so Prodigy Baskets SUCK. But if the DGPT only standardizes a 'The Better $500 Mousetrap' for the Tour, why should 99% of us care? It's Mach 3s and other 'barely even a frisbie catchers' that drive us to the bar. Any R.F.P. for a standardized basket should include the requirement to provide an affordable version for the rest of us.

I disagree with the opinion that the Turku open course was bad. Most certainly better than most elite series courses in the states lol

Prodigy has a handful of really great molds - several of the putters are highly regarded, the A series has some very cool molds (A5 A2), M4 and several driver molds. There are obviously duds in there as well. In top of that, their plastic has of late felt pretty good to me (300, 400, 500). Point is - it feels like they can push plastic without the “team”. Probably they are pulling back on spend, but it stretches belief to me that there is no market for prodigy’s good stuff. If they do go out of business I’m hoping to grab a bunch of the good stuff on clearance.

If Prodigy can’t afford KJ and Vaino, they surely can’t afford to keep Issac and Ezra.

Some poor takes in this video. If they are throwing understable discs on a hole, it's not because the disc tech was so bad and only understable discs existed in 2007. For example, Champion Firebirds existed well before 2007. The biggest thing happening during this era was increasing the aerodynamics of discs (speed) to what they are today for distance drivers. The Destroyer was the first 12 speed and came in in 2007.

Another subject that should be talked about are out of bounds shots that get fortunate kicks back in bounds. Been watching/playing golf since 2017 and every card that has had Wysocki on it, ive heard what a lucky kick, what a lucky tree. what a lucky rock , what a lucky camera stand etc.If you throw out of bounds, its out of bounds.Take a stroke and play it where it lands

Standardize the tee pads 1st! Player safety is #1. Then the baskets can be made by different manufacturers, but "Standardize" the consistency to which they are built. No need for the cross chains. That's just overkill & useless. The players are playing with the same baskets anyways so it's fair all around.
