ESRepair was created on CZcams to show people how to fix common problems around the house and save money on repairs. Not all repairs require a professional visit or a trip to the repair shop. Just because you don't understand it should you have to pay a pro to repair the issue at hand. It could cost hundreds of dollars to hire a pro for something you could simply do yourself. Little do people know that there is a good chance they can fix it themselves and save money....
If your computer will not turn on, Why take it to a Pro to get fixed? Many cases required a simple power cycle by removing all sources of power and holding down the power button for at least 30 seconds, then restore power. The PC will then turn on. When your florecence light stops working, you may just need to change the ballast or the switch. Repairs don't have to be complicated.

Thank very much for your help
Thanks, this is EXACTLY what I needed to se.
Thank you for the video, just changed my lamp socket!
Thank you sir ...❤
Thank you Mr. Fixit!!
Thanks
You skipped right over the part I need - how to get the bottom/base off of the socket. You said you may need to use a small screwdriver - then the next frame was the base off. Sigh...
I don't give a rat's ass how long the intro is (BTW, there's this thing called Fast Forward) because this video showed me how to fix my 2010 Craftsman YTS 3000 mower so that it is running like new. I haven't been able to throttle it down for years, and a few days ago, it began racing at VERY high throttle. I parked it, and started looking on CZcams. Yours was the only one that addressed my actual problem. I know this video is VERY old, but I hope you see this comment. THANKS so much!
you may need to get a small flat screw driver " put next to the lamp on the table , it automatically makes the bottom cup that you could not twist off , release"
😅 I actually had the patience to do this! The hardest part of my job was trying to feed the cord throw the base from the bottom to the tiny hole on top ugh. After that I got it! Thanks ☺️
9 years later, you helped me just fix my thrifted $5 solid brass lamp. Thanks.
I came here to say the same!!! I lucked up and thrifted a pair of lamps for free!! Three trips to the hardware store but it was worth it lol 🤣 in DID l!
Thank you very much for taking the time make a simple, comprehensive, visual manual. Keep up the great work!
I am now going to try and fix my two living room lamps. They have been sitting on the tables broken for way too long!! Thanks!!
You should be teaching: right pace, perfect delivery of steps without unnecessary commentary, no frills, camera set in good position with right light and each piece shown in focus. Thank you. 🎉😊
I would add to your recepy to give the wood handles a lite 320 grid sanding before soaking them in the oil, to "refresh" the handles apereance and open the wood pores, and also heat up in the microwave the glass with oil to 60 degrees Celsius so the oil will become thinner and soak the wood easier. Regards
Very helpful🤩🤩thank you!!!
Thanks! Your instructions were clear and easy to follow. I successfully replaced the lamp socket in a lamp that was bothering me for too long!
great explanation sir
Smooth is hot, rough is not. Appreciate your video s
For some reason, when I get to the sign in part of setup it said error can't sign in, and I keep trying and retrying, and I can't skip it or anything, is there a secret way to skip it? (I am fully connected to internet)
Thanks! detailed .
LOOOOOOOOONG INTRO…
Make sure battery can spin engine fast enough. 4 Days chasing no spark issue, watched 50 videos, tried everything. Had charger on battery and kill switch disconnected. Put charger in jump mode and nice hot spark. I had been charging battery to 100%, but it was too weak. New battery fixed problem. Found a 300CCA battery to replace 3.5 year old 150 CCA battery. No more issues! I don't remember where I saw that 350 RPM minimum requirement, but only saw/heard it one time.
I refuse to shut it down I have a work on it
didnt get to motor work/ no time for intro
This is a great Video for a newb like myself. I am interested in 2 way communication radios such as CB, Amateur and Ham radios. Can you explain what how we come to the conclusion of how much a certain transistor will put out in watts. For example say an IRF520N. I see on the forums that someone will say a particular transistor we may be talking about say something like "will that's only a 25 watt transistor, no way that radio is gonna do X amount of watts with only two of those transistor. The IRF520 was just a transistor off the top of my head. So if a radio I was looking at had three of these 520's in it and the radio did 40 watts, how can I tell what what the radio output would be if I put something say 3- FQP13N10 in it ... without going to the trouble of actually placing those N10s in the radio? Is there certain numbers we plug into Ohms law to get the answer or? thank you very much for explaining this stuff, it helps a lot.
nice clear explanation. Thank you :)
It works perfect. Great software!
My windows 7 shows Me safemode and then switch off
You didn’t show us how the screw driver was used to take it apart????😮
Thank you so much. Although I didn't need to replace the socket just yet, but it helped to ensure that the connection was together. Was really easy to follow your instruction.
I have this exact model. When i make coffee it goes so fast into the basket area that it over flows and makes a huge mess. Any ideas on what would cause that??? I ended up using a chip clip on the top lid to help control the speed of the water.
How to change resolution after boot from USB? There is no way to use this tool in some resolutions. Any tips?
When you wired your tombstone connectors with the yellow wires, how did you wire them? Was it like this: Tombstone connector for lamp one: Wire hole 1: yellow Wire hole 2: white wire 1 Wire hole 3: yellow Wire hole 4: white wire 2 Tombstone connector for lamp 2: Wire hole 1: no wire Wire hole 2: white wire 2 Wire hole 3: no wire Wire hole 4: white wire 1 I am trying to troubleshoot a rapid ballast replacement for 2 lamps. When I switch it on it flashes once and shuts off/does not turn on.
Thank you so much for the wonderful video. I've tried a couple of times but missed steps and became frustrated because I did not understand how the things worked. I watched your video, purchased a "broken" Tiffany Lamp at Goodwill, repaired it and you would not believe the beautiful lamp sitting in my living room! And nobody knows my secret!! LOL !! Thank you for being so kind, so patient and for adding this to the community, very very helpful!!
Great explanation. Thank you
Awesome my friend really appreciate you. Thanks
Thanks uncle
Thank you
Backwards - the 30 volts was AC side - dc side should be 14/15 v
Sir what replacement for SS264 ??
Outstanding Video Dear
Thanks 🤗
Is there any time estimation for every 1gb of file recovered? Currently recovering 260gb micro sd.
Would be nice if you had this code available to download! Thanks for the help.
😂🤣
Another "tutorial" where the author was incapable to mention to what exactly he refers. Man, what firmware are you using? Others may have another one and half you talk about is not present in their version.
The more interesting question is if you can add more than one USB drive via a an USB hub.
You can add addition USB Drives using a USB HUB. I am still using the NAS in the Video with 2 External 6TB USB Drives connected to the NAS via 4-port USB Hub
@@ESRepair thank you. How is speed? This being only USB 2.0.
Very well done, I learned exactly what I needed, thanks 😀

Why didn’t you connect the diode the other way…. To test in the diode setting you check, both ends switching the terminals. One will come through with voltage. The other way will come through with OL. You only did one direction and saw the OL. I believe that’s how you check it with the diode function on the multimeter. I guess the point is you don’t need the battery, although that works too - when you have a diode test function on your multimeter like you do.
