New solar field powers up

A new solar field in Hayhurst, New Mexico, is producing lower carbon energy to support our operations in the area. During daylight hours, the solar panels supply a significant portion of the power needs for a nearby compressor station that readies natural gas to be shipped to customers. The 120-acre solar field is the result of a collaboration with Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp.

Chevron can’t guarantee a reduction in GHG’s from RNG bc there is mo guarantee it will actually make it to customer’s home, and not be flared off during construction work, or leak to atmosphere at some point in the pipeline. This is greenwashing.
