have good notes and create scripts to automate common tasks. good notes is important because you wont have to google for something if you forget something like a command.

Only recently signed up for a couple courses myself. What are your suggestions for IDEs? I like the look of PyCharm for Python …. VS Code seems very busy in my eyes
I'd go with Visual Studio Code, it is the leading IDE and many people have switched to it from IDE's they were used to. You'll likely encounter other languages in your journey also so getting familiar with the more versatile IDE will help you down the line. Just my two cents

Ive been studying for over a year, and i just fewl stupid and cant remember anything. And ive been doing this in the army for 12 years . Its weird to me. I wish the test would just give a acronym list
I wouldn't be able to memorize the content without cue cards. Also not adding the full name but only the acronym in the cue card can help. Best of luck!

Do you have a IT background? I’m switching career paths and working to get to cyber security myself. Studying A+ currently. Sort of in all the same scenarios as you so I find your channel super useful man
I just had one previous job in a professional field as an automation engineer. Definitely separate from the IT field. I don't think you need any IT experience to pass these CompTIA certs. Happy to hear it is helpful!

on average i did 4.5 to 5 hours a day with no distractions. In the week leading up to the exam i spent around 8 hours per day

A good thing to do that helped me is if you’re booking lets say your core 1 in 3 weeks and let’s say you buy the e learning guide, try to divide the amount of pages you’ll need to read per day so you finish in time. Don’t forget to leave time for reviewing your cue cards and for practice exams. Best of luck you got this!

Hi Sam, my checklists have added personal notes and highlighting so I cannot share them. I use notion checklist boxes for a lot of my day to day work they are great. Definitely worth learning.
