Thank you!
You're welcome!
thanks for explaining it so well. Love it. 💕👍
You're welcome 😊
2 slider zips are great for this design
Yes they are!
As a visual learner and not being great at math the visual for measuring helped so much I have to make a two tier one is it the same the first their would end at mid thigh
Thank you for watching. I am glad that the visual helped you.
Lovely skirt, and very plain instructions! Thanks!
You’re welcome 😊
I wear leggings in the cool weather. My health and comfort *matters!*
Me too!
what does it mean if it still doesnt do the SS after turning it to SS
Can you clarify for me?
Very clear and good instruction
Thank you and I appreciate your comment.
😂 Thank you so much! The manual explained it, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what they were talking about!
Glad I could help!
I'm so frustrated. My purse is a bit larger that a coin purse. Once I get one section into the frame, the other section pops out. I've started at the corners and move to the middle, and also from the top center and out. It doesn't seem to matter. Help!
Basting everything in place will probably help you the best with your problem. Just tack everything in place with stitches that you can remove once your permanent stitching is done.
If it is glue I would still tack it in place with little dabs of glue and let is dry before gluing in permanently. I would work from the edges in towards the middle easing the fabric in. Now if your bag is too big you will get wrinkles. If you don't like that look you will have to redraft your pattern to make it a little smaller so that it will fit the frame properly.
Thanks so much for the Velcro idea. That way I can make it easy and adjustable!
I am glad that worked out for you. Thank you for watching my video.
Thanks much for this. It's very helpful. Just a question, if I was doing this for someone else, how would I deal with the uneven part of the overlapping hood so it looked cleaner. Is there a way to edit that a bit? It's clear that the edges of the hood weren't exactly the same in the original hoodie. Do you have recommendations? Thanks again.
Good question! It depends on the hoodie and how it was made. My hoodie did overlap so I did what I could with it to keep the edges lined up with the zipper. I tried to keep the look as clean as I could. If I were you I would play around with it to see what looks best in working with those edges. I understand it isn't the best answer but it really is dependent on how the hoodie is constructed.
@@MrsGsSewingSpace Thank you!
Now I'm so glad I saved that french curve even though I had no idea what to use it for! Excellent useful info (drafting skills!) and hints for success - the best of CZcams.
Glad it was helpful! The french curve is very helpful when drafting patterns. Curves are crazy and need help to be perfect.
Good work !, thanks a lot👍👍👍🙏
Thank you!
I appreciate that your explanations are paired with the visual process. Thank you.
You're very welcome!
This was the easiest tiered shirt video and the explanations and instruction were great thank you
Glad it helped!
I love your tutorial ❤ I've made native skirts almost same as you do yours. I use quilting thread for the basting, they are a lot stronger and won't break. Thank you for your easy to understand tutorial.
Thank you for watching! The basting thread is a great tip for gathering.
Smart
Thank you.
You shouldn't be using the large spool cap for embroidery. It will cause problems like threat catching, shredding, snags, needle breaks, etc. Look at your manual for the spool recommended for embroidery and this size spool.
Thank you for sharing. I do follow what my manual says and what I am provided with. Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoy my videos.
This is just like how I was taught to sew from my family. Thank you for the nice review.
Thank you for watching. I am glad that you found this enjoyable.
A good tutorial with one small exception. The only length marker should be the fold line down the middle of the sleeve, not the underarm sleeve length. Once the fold and length from the shoulder is established, mark a perpendicular line from the fold across the sleeve using a t square, ignoring the length of the underarm sleeve. Doing it as in video can create a slanted sleeve hem, because every sleeve and armhole has a slightly different shape. (This is noticeable on the plaid shirt. ) Another thing to be aware of is that shortening a long sleeve, since you have to narrow the width for the hem allowance, may result in a sleeve too tight in the biceps if the long sleeve is not fairly loose on the wearer.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I appreciate your input.
This is very needed, thankyou, my dad does not like wearing full sleeve, so I have to make it short for him, thankyou so much❤
You are very welcome. I am glad that you found this video helpful.
Your directions are awesome. Good job!
Thank you so much!
Patten please
I am working on that. I had a pattern uploaded to a website but I am working on a new placement.
Absolutely brilliant

I love this content. It’s very informative and easy to follow. Clearly a lot of work and care has gone into this
Thank you so much for your comment. I am glad that you found this video enjoyable and informative.
The belt pocket is a great design and that is the easiest inset zipper installation I have seen to date. It's brilliant and I can use that method in other projects. Thank you for sharing.
I am glad that you found this useful and that you found this video. Thanks for watching.
Excellent tutorial thank you. About to insert my zip.
Thank you for watching. I am glad that you found this helpful. Good luck with your project.
Yours is the best video that I have viewed on how to do this. You are an excellent teacher!
Thank you so much. I appreciate your comment and that you chose to watch my video.
Thanks for this great vid. I just today tore out the elbow of one of my favorite shirts and I'll do this to keep it going since I love the fabric and pattern of the shirt.
I am glad that you found this video. Good luck with your project.
Excellent video; nicely explained …. Thank you 👏 👏 👏
Thank you for watching. I appreciate your comment.
This video is still very useful. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in a great video. You explained and demonstrated each step very well.
You're very welcome! I am glad that you found this video helpful.
That dash after the zero was so long, I thought turning it further would break it XD Thanks!
I know! It goes forever. Thanks for watching.
Thank you. The other videos that I have seen seem to easy. I think the way that you have shown is a better way of doing it.
Thank you. I appreciate you watching.
3/9/24 Please do videos on single welt pocket, double welt pocket with lining bag. thanks
Good idea. I will add that to my list.
Great directions and received good info with the way you did the zipper! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
What glue?
You can use contact glue or there are specialty glues out there as well. I know I have used Fabri tac in the past. You just need a glue that works for fabric and metal.
@@MrsGsSewingSpace like epoxy glue?
Very helpful. Especially that part about the loss of fabric around the tummy. Soooo good. TU
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching.
Excellent tutorial! Thank you.
You're very welcome! I am glad that you found my channel.
Incredibly useful.
Glad you think so!
Thank you !!!
You're welcome!
Glad you are encouraging others to sew! I enjoyed you teaching me. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
Thank you! You too!
How do you know exactly what length of zipper to buy as all sweat shirts are different
I buy the longest one. I can cut down the zipper to size if I need to. Otherwise you would need to measure the length of the front of the sweatshirt and purchase the correct size according to your measurements.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
I LOVE your style of teaching. Although I am a seasoned seamstress, I am still learning from your videos. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! I appreciate hearing from a seasoned seamstress.
This was fantastic. Thank you. You made the process relatable and easy to understand.
You are so welcome!
Thank you for this tutorial but im curious, is there any purpose of a hem or can i cut the shirt without it?
You can but it depends on the fabric and the look that you are going for. Hemming your clothes keeps the fabric from fraying and keeps your clothes looking neat and tidy.
❤just what I am looking for. Thanks.
You're welcome 😊 Thank you for watching.
