I found this video while in the process of applying chemical peel to the skin around my nails (and the nails too because its hard not to) I guess I won't be doing that again! Luckily my nails look fine. I don't know why it didn't occur to me that if it would dissolve the keratin on my skin, it would do the same to the keratin on my nails!

I just purchased the kit which will be delivered in August so I'm excited to really start taking care of my nails on feet and hands! Thanks for creating it!

Gel and any other such things is not the cause of these lines. Never worn gel or any such thing. These lines and ridges with subsequent splitting occuring is because of body changes and hormones. Even men get these lines, but more women because of menopausal changes beginning in a womans body - not all women get them, but it certainly has nothing whatever to do with gel and all that.

I'm a nurse (wash my hands A LOT) and I just think my dry skin around my nails doesn't do well with being cut, had some bad luck and it creates a bit of a nightmare for infection control at work.

HI, can you please give me advice of what product I can use on my nails? I work with a lot of water and they feel always weak... nailhardners or nailpolish doesnt last long... I put always thin rubber gloves on to work, but even with that my nails are still sooo weak. I really dont know what to do anymore. Thanks

I also find that doing a manicure, then watching you, then doing, watching, doing, etc is a great way to learn and 'correct' my process.

Influencer Russian Manicures have taken over social media and honestly it makes me sick, the same way duck nails made wayyy to big of a comeback. There are very important reasons as to why any self-respecting nail technician would refuse to perform Russian Manicures, especially any self-respecting and knowledgeable tech that is not in the nail game just to make money!!

Aaah, the drill. Dumb me allowed my last pedi to drill the top of my toenails to remove old polish and they're a wreck. All white on the top. Looks like stuck glue. I'll be doing home pedis like your diy in a previous video, but I'm 65 years old and staying bent over like that stiffens my back. Not to mention the big tummy getting in the way 😂😂 Oh, and he also pulled off the inner 'ingrown" toenail so deeply that it went down to the cuticle and bled like crazy. Now it's really pinching but I'm hoping to help coax it back up 😮 I'm referring to the effort you're taking around minute 23. Once he lifted it off the skin, he pulled it all the way down to the cuticle. Ouch

Chemo can also cause this to happen. It happened to me on four of my fingernails. I'm still struggling with it. 😢

I have a total nightmare with white nail polishes! lm using Essie Blanc 5ml mini polish, it's plastic like and smudges easily. Use with a Quick Dry nail spray like Avon Freeze Drying spray, The Essie Blanc takes ages to dry! Same with Wet n Wild White creme nail polish, very plastic like and took ages to dry! A good Quick Dry nail drops are Zoya Nail Drying drops and Maybelline quick dry drops, very good, dry fast! I'm using White nail stickers under CND SHELLAC TOPCOAT & basecoat! I think only one nail is from trauma....but yes deficiency is definitely a factor or harsh medication like chemotherapy. My mother is in her 70s with no ridges. So it's hard to say.
