What a shame. Trains in Canada are awesome. I take the VIA 117 miles in 90 minutes, to see my daughter for $30 USD. It's smooth, quiet, comfortable and almost full.

I recently checked out the train to go mid-Michigan to Fayetteville NC. $85 diesel, 12 hr by car; 30 hrs by train and much more expensive! I was hoping it would be viable. Sadly, it just doesn't make sense.

Sadly the cost. Airlines can almost always beat them price and speed

Why we dont ride trains? Cuz Amtrak derails.

I like the train - if I'm delayed it doesn't matter to me -i go for the ride - i get bored just sitting at home 😔

if you take Amtrak you better not be on a schedule.stuff happens it seems all the time here in the midwest

Amtrak use makes sense in dense metropolitan ares but does not in rural areas where service is spotty or just not available. Bus service works well in these areas although it is often very slow due to multiple stops.
