Nandan still behaves like a joker. Shitty yellng techniques. No sportsmanship. I recall him writing wrong scores and giving it to the desk at Nationals. Still no different as a person. Sid is a thorough gentleman and a true sportsman. This little kid is a different story though. Won't last long. Hiding all his shovel serves as always. Sooner or later destiny will catchup to him. One should always use umpire while playing this kid.

Where is the referee

Wang kept on with the illegal "non-vertical, no flat hand, service toss" and got rightfully called on it, good umpiring job. Wang was definitely the more tactically sound and more experienced in this type of match up. But very well done Ma for the great tenacious fighting spirit, forcing errors from Wang. Ma has an effective style and is always very entertaining.

Both players have the similar style, not much big shots but consistent spin game with Eugene having more experience and Ma hungrier. As the result, we saw lots of great top spin rallies in the match. The ref's call on Eugene's service fault three times might have affected Eugene's play and prevented him from pulling out an early victory. At the end of the day, once Ma started winning, his youth, hunger and resiliency sealed his victory. Feel a little sorry for Eugene for the loss when leading 3:0. Overall a great match, maybe the best match of the tournament. Congrats to Ma for the eventual winner of the whole tournament and who seems becoming the best player in north America for the next several years.
