The last birthday I celebrated with friends (right before the pandemic hit.... wow.) I made sushi and it was so much fun. I should get inspired by you and simply do it for myself. This vlog series is so chaotic and I love it. Also congrats, you definitely did great in week 3!

Good to know, now me having to read another serie, only book 4 before diving into book 5. Might do another multiple book read (just like for GameNightAthon) just to make some progress in multiple series (I want to finish before the end of the year).

I am so intrigued by the Phoenix Keeper. I hope it's good, I wanna read it later this year. :D If you need a short book with a mask, I'd recommend Katzenjammer by Francesca Zappia, a YA horror about the consequences of bullying in school. I really liked it. Happy reading in September! :D

The book ending made the series. Book 2 was a slog, the story in general is good but the ending is great! The only way it would have been better for me is if I hadn’t guessed it beforehand.

The Choosing Of The Book … what a great feeling that is, when anything is possible. Otherwise, yes, this does seem like a challenge (or madness!) that I don’t think I could accomplish. Just reading the opening chapters of five books once wiped out the bulk of an evening, and I’ve never repeated the experiment since. Aha, Hayes confusing the project! 😆 I was comparing the Petrik Leo suggested reading order to the author’s own recommended reading order (publication order), and I think I will be going chronologically rather than in publication order. When I get to them. Which part will be harder, I wonder 🤔 Gradually starting out, in the middle when everything is out everywhere, all at once, or towards the end when conclusions are happening?

Thanks for this, I too had a long time in between books one and two and got quite confused about whether El was good or bad. One thing I caught at the end is I’m pretty sure Karaliene is now Nethgella, what with the dirge she sang and somehow knowing that the dead men needed to be burned.

🏆 I just reviewed my BotM for the past 6 months, and “The Shadow of What Was Lost” is up there for its sheer jaw dropping “stayed up way too late” moments; “The Mad Ship” for it’s exceptional quality; but also, more recently, “Legacy of Brick & Bone” (the one with the political rumpy-pumpy 🤭) has jumped directly into the fray.

Kindred has made it to my favorite books list when I read it, too. Apart from Rook and Rose, I am not planning to read any of the ones you have mentioned soon, but we'll see what happens. :D

Don't have a book in mind yet have to finish my shifter book which I'm not loving then I can do this one.
