Nice bike mate. How's the leaning and handling on twisted roads? I saw some vids where they were scraping something by the sounds of it. (I ride the MT01 1700)

The firing order on this motor is about 360º otherwise called the "droner" motor. It's the same firing order as the RC30 and of some of the MOTOGP bikes from a few years ago.

They were not racing ..if you want to see which is faster all u have to do is Google it ...v.rod is faster in quarter mile ! Its lighter and revs higher

Guys facts are facts ,just Google the quarter mile times and 0to60times ..v rod comes out on top in 6 different sites neither one of these two know how to take off or shift at the right time .v rod does not ring the gears enough ,while the m9 hits the limiter to much. Maybe they should switch bikes .geeez

Nice list, but like some others I'm surprised the V-Max isn't on the list when it's technically one of the OG muscle cruisers, but I also understand why it's not, cause it's a very niche bike. I'm also surprised you picked the M-109R over the C-109R (it seems the C is always forgotten haha), given the name of the list, and the C's more "classic cruiser" styling, while still being a Boulevard 109 monster. I've got a 2010 Boulevard C-109R, which has slightly less power (4-6hp depending on who you ask) than the M due to a different intake cam for more low down torque, and a heavier flywheel. With just pipes, intake, and a tune, it's good for 109.5hp, and 119.76LbFt at the tyre. Add to that disabling the secondary throttle valve so it's open in all gears, not just 4th and 5th, and you've got a bike that will smoke that 240 rear on the roll in 2nd just by cracking the throttle. The Boulevard is also probably one of the cheapest (Australian prices at least) on the list (especially 2nd hand) which makes it amazing value too.

Lovely to see a video review from a long term owner. I think one will be my next bike, but with an ECU flash to open her up a bit. It's a monster anyway, but an extra 20 or so horsepower and no restrictions in gears wouldn't go amiss.

I have a harley ultra limited and a Honda vtx 1800. I had my vtx dino spec'ed and tuned with the aftermarket parts. 110hp and 120 ft lbs torque. No harley will touch it!!!! You won't beat it in the right gear. It will drag your ass everytime! And I own the most expensive harley! But it's for comfort. The vtx is for fun!!

The VMAX is not a cruiser. It's what's called a muscle bike. That's what they classified it as back in 1985 when the original was version was introduced at the dealer show in Las 9:46 Vegas. They hired Jay Gleason to demonstrate what the bike was capable of. He was a pro Drag racer and he only weighed about 140-150 lbs. so that helped him in getting the most out of the bike. Almost all the motorcycle magazines hired him to do their timed speed runs especially the 1/4 mile. He really did a great job demonstrating what the bike was capable of. He roasted the rear tire in seconds. Very fun to watch.

Just got a 2002 VTX 1800c. It is my first bike. I am a big man. Around 300 lbs. And that bike MOVES with me on it. A lot of my friends w bikes say it’s a bit big for my first bike. But I will not need to upgrade to anything bigger for awhile.
