Two of the worst presidential candidates I have seen in my lifetime. One who has a foot and four toes in the grave. The other who is a foster child of Citizens United and tells so many lies they eventually become the truth. My biggest concern is Social Security when he wins. It is guaranteed, Trump will add billions to the military budget. Continue tax cuts for the extreme wealthy. I fear Trump and the Republicans will target Social Security and Medicare to try and make up all the loss tax revenue by attacking Social Security and Medicare.

I love being gay. Despite living in a conservative rural area myself I'd rather be out and risk harassment and discrimination than to be closeted and live a lie.

I vividly remember this whole "for profit" collage scam system being burst wide open, and it had to be at least fifteen or so years ago now. The federal government FINALLY got involved because their loans were being defaulted on. These "colleges" routinely target black and mostly minority, and un savvy people who are easily fooled and tell them they're going to make some laughably high income off the useless degrees they "sold" them on. That's why scam schools like DeVrey and some of the other "colleges" that are housed on a corner that used to be gas stations, literally, had to go bye bye. They totally fooled and took advantage of gullible people. I remember watching a video of some young guy who paid one of these scam schools something crazy like 50 thousand dollars to get a "degree" in interior vehicle repair, or some such crap, and after he "graduated", he got a job in his field. Making $7.25 an hour fixing holes in car upholstery. The stories are endless. Bottom line, it's the responsibility of the people taking out the loans to RESEARCH the field you're going to go into, and chances are, in MOST cases, you don't need a "college degree" for the majority of the occupations they are advertising. It's really too bad because they are taking advantage of people who are really trying to better themselves and do the right thing. Use your head and consider the end game. It's not that hard to figure out and if it's not worth it monetarily and with the time and effort put forth in the schooling, don't do it.

This is the first thumb down I’ve given. I’m a Vietnam veteran and I saw a little racism however to say the military was racist was wrong. I saw just as much racism from the blacks as from the whites. I was there from 68-69 and spent close to 10 1/2 months in the field and in the field and never saw racism.

I went to Allerton Park and we were literally dodging cicadas. Also, a friend cooked some up and said they tasted very grassy/nutty. Also loved Chuck's herb talk. He has more patience than I do to establish and maintain asparagus 😅 but! I have enjoyed wrangling my bed of pine berries. Prolific and tasty gratification after the first year.
