You know how I've always felt that these amazing martial artists and films have never gotten the respect and credit that they deserve. By inserting comments and fun facts every couple seconds during the fight scenes, you're revealing a side of the films that have never been seen before. IT'S BRILLIANT! Great video. I especially enjoyed how you inserted info about the movies, and the mention of his deadman gaze. That gaze makes Lu Feng the number one villain in my book. I also felt he chose such good weapons for his fight scenes.

Video editing was fine, excellent reviews. Bruce Lee is Bruce Lee, He is second to none in the world. Bruce Lee is altime great legendary martial arts Hero in the world. Everyone should remember that there is no alternative Hero of Bruce Lee. Yes Bruce Li, Dragon Lee and someone else popular in china and in the world but they are not like Bruce Lee. His popularity in Bangladesh and world out of questions. We love and remember legendary greatest Hero Bruce Lee. Jast say about him REST IN PEACE. From BANGLADESH

i saw this as a double feature in the 80's-defintely slept on!!!!

Can environment overcome genetics? I guess this film sought out to answer that question. Both the abbot (Lee Man-Tai) at Shaolin and the sifu (Shaw Bros. veteran, Ku Feng) at the Thirteen Forest Gym viewed Wong Tai Kuang (Tony Leung Siu-Hung) as a weak individual who would be unable to endure the hard training; in a quest to learn kung fu. The sifu took on the task to train Wong. With the lack of instruction from his teacher and the little that he had learned from a drunkard, Wong became an adequate fighter. That outcome would be more believable if all kung fu styles were downloaded into Wong's memory like it was done to Neo in the Matrix (1999). Storyline: Below average. Fight choreography: Average at best. The finale in which the experienced Mo Dung Tak (Yen Shi- Kwan) oppose Wong and also Shan Ho Kuan (Lau Kar Yung), who helps Wong, was a good fight scene.

If you can get hold of a wide screen print of this film you will definitely view it as a underrated classic kung fu adventure comedy. Similar tone 5 superfighters and Drunken master. The Style the main lead uses however is Dragon fist not Tigers claw. But its easy to mistake the two as the postures are very similar. Ku feng as the bad mouthed irritated Monk and his Dubbing artist is the highlight for me. Every outburst he has just cracks me up. Yeah this movie has a great mix of action actors all who have worked for the Big two studios. Very nice Indie studio production that you can just throw in the device and just watch

This flick struck me as one of the weekend types where you watch this after having already dug up some of the more heavy hitters; it started off kind of slow to me, but I feel like the best payoff starts to show itself after the old beggar gets serious about teaching this movie's hero. And yeah, that red room sequence is definitely a cool hook to get people interested! Plus, the end fight does some different things for a kung-fu movie that were pretty neat. With all that said, I'd say it's worth checking out once for at least some of these reasons 🙂

It was great to see my two favorites included, Kara Hui & Lily Li, plus that you featured the incredible Yeung Ching Ching. She was quite underused and is so underappreciated. Her fighting scenes at the end of The Treasure Hunters are phenomenal.

One of my favorite SB movies, although it's an odd one in how it doesn't really sympathize with any of the characters. (i.e. it follows a sellout spy torn between qings and ming loyalists, and neither side is portrayed as particularly good, and then it abruptly ends in a flash of nihilistic pointless death and violence.) It basically feels like Lau Kar-Leung doing a Chang Cheh film.

With how many kung-fu movies I've seen with you at this point, I can definitely appreciate all of the women who have showcased their skills! Some definitely deserved more screen time and roles than what they got, but all of them brought strong amounts of skill, craftiness, and grace to the movie screen. On top of the ones you oisted, I'd also want to shout out Monkey Kung-Fu for its stellar way of showing women's combat expertise (even though men were the main leads). This is a great tribute, Dad! 😀

working for shaw bros in those days was very demanding work, and its not like these guys came out of the lot as millionaires, they worked long hours and didn't make a whole lot of money, they would just crank out one movie after another.
