Testing the Autel MD808
I give this scanner a 3.9 Star as a first impression because it could be better for its price. (Rating may change after further testing)
At least compared to the launch crp129 I used in the past, the MD808 is the clear winner.

Many modern cars today have Hall Effect sensor used as cam shaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, speed sensor and other sensors like ABS wheel sensor. NOTE: Magnetoresistive Sensor also works in a similar way, but instead of using three wire the Magnetoresistive Sensor uses two wires. (not to be confused with the Magnetic sensor also known as a Variable Reluctance Sensor) I did not put a lot of deta...

Stick Welding Exhaust Pipe
zhlédnutí 161KPřed 9 lety
Low budget way for welding exhaust pipe. AKA "STIG" welding Recommended ways for welding thin gauge metal is MIG or TIG process. Running 3/32 6011 (oscillating rod) DC @80amps Filler rod is 3/32 6011 with no flux I was welding on a new catalytic converter. PS. I would have gotten a macro shot of the weld if my camera wasn't so crappy at that time.
Why didn't you use your drill in reverse also?
NO ! NO! NO! Only dynamic testing with OBDII tester is valid!!
Awesome video. The intermittent bad one is exactly what my cam and crank sensors are doing. As it reaches temp it dies randomly
what is signal? the 5 volt reference?
You need to go back and forth, not around and around.
Stratforward demonstration ! Brilliant.
Do NOT do this...anyone who tells you do grind the seat or valve with a drill, tell em to shut the tool box and walk away, Get a frigging valve job, do it once do it right. The end Troll away everyone. lol
WONDERFUL PRESENTATION ,EXELLENT
lazy way more like it.
No Setting info, no setup info?
Where are you finding suction cups that stick? I bought new, genuine "made in China" rubbers and finally had to rotate the valves with my fingers. (they didn't need lapping anyway, just a "feel good" exercise)
Another Charlie Chaplin silent vid! why bother
What engine is this head for?
The reason you hand lapping stick is crap , is because of the diameter , slim it right down in a lathe to a concave shape, it's best to do top and throat cuts to reduce seat width and help the valve cut carbon .
It would have been better if the grinding was clockwise as well as anticlockwise, intermittently.
My multimeter is auto ranged. If i hold it to M ohms i get not reading. In auto i get about 1 K ohms. Is that an indicator of the sensor being bad?
That is cool
Indonesia hdr
Great technique
Good video just too fast on the drill. The compoind will spin off. Slow ans steady does it
Terima kasih
what if there is no reading on the ohm test no matter what pair of pins i probe across
I have a better technique than this.
Please share. Theres not a lot of info on this subject using a multi meter.

👍👍
Thank you!
arc welding with a filler rod is how I was taught/trained in high school metal shop class from 1977-1979....and its still how I do it today ! thanks for the DIY video !
Mi e was same exact way. I pulled the oring and was hard as a rock.
But do they have to seal ?100 percent cos a still have very tini air comprecion los even after polishing 😢
Why are my readings well over 200? It's set to ohms /resistance . ? Thanks no 5-12 volts
I ain’t reading all of that.
Never do this without flux.
Is that a wire in between bridging the positive and ground together that u have the yellow conne tor on?
Test may show if a sensor is dead, but still need an oscilloscope to determine if signal is clean or noisy garbage. Air gap tolerance is far too sensitive to replicate on a bench.
So much blue. Gonna get false contact with it that heavy.
The grace and peace be with you from the lord your God our father and his son Jesus thank you, but how many of you know about the good news repent and believe in the gospel because the kingdom of heaven is at hand and crack your word the Bible and continue blessing you! Luke 6:20-28-35-40
cool video. but why do you use the resistor?
When welding exhaust s and things like that is Tig and mig don't like rust or oil ,dirt etc even if you clean it back the steel can still be ingrained with crap that's where stick welding stands out above the other 2 it will produce good welds even with dirty steel that's why it's king out on work sites
I think they call that Texas Tig welding using another rod as a heat sink works well.personally for me turn down the amps down a bit probably like 45 ,50 amps tilt it up a bit weld it up nice and quiet with 2.5 ,6013
Great video so informative yet so simple thank you very much save me a ton of time!!
Yeah that's good I taught myself to do that too after a few holes I've got it down 👍
Excellent idea using a filler rod
if r.p.m not move when you start car = crankshaft sensor is damage . result the engine not work
You watch a video like this in which this guy meticulously laps the valve and checks it to see if he's in spec. Then you read a comment from an engine builder who with his 30 years of experience confesses he's never lapped a new valve and never had a problem, Lol. Not saying you should or should not that's entirely up to you and your peace of mind but hey if you are wondering if its been done that answer is a yes.
thank you so much for the dimensions and OEM part number! almost impossible to finde anywhere else. Do you have the engine parts number listing?
The OEM part looks to be a Square O-ring... Did it worked with the standard O-ring?
What's the name of the tool he uses to sit the guide and socket through? Need myself one of those.
It's called a valve guide driver. He's using a manual one. You can also get them for pneumatic hammers. Needs to be the same diameter as your inner valve guide diameter.
@@russadams8528 Thanks Russ
Now how about a hall effect sensor without a low reference? I have a dual hall-effect (two sensors with a shared magnet) which is a four wire. It does not have a 5v reference. How can I bench test this sensor?
Superb explanation...
fuckin gasssss at stick
Jesus look at the rings on the valve and the seat…that’s why I don’t use a drill and do it by hand ,spinning it back and forth both directions when you just spin in one direction continuously you develop those rings and they pit faster and don’t completely seal like if you were to do it by hand…sure it’s better then it was but I am a perfectionist when it comes to my work I’ll spend extra time on it doing it correctly even though I am a flat rate technician
