Tamiya TB Evo 8 Unbox and Assemble (Time-lapse & New body painting)
I completed the Tamiya TB EVO 8 and definitely, this kit is one of the most beautiful kits I ever assembled.
Unfortunately, the front motor layout wouldn't work with my current equipment so I had to reassemble it as the rear motor layout.
Additionally, I mounted the freshly painted Bittydesign Eptron UL body.

This is another RC car Lexan body airbrush painting video. The original design is Marc Rheinard and I modified some colors and the painting styles so it doesn't look like the original. Hopefully, it would be helpful for someone interested in airbrush painting even though the angle of the video seems to be awkward occasionally. Thank you and stay tuned.

This is the first practice for my brand new Xray X4 '24. I am using Hobbywing 5T and a 2s shorty Lipo battery. As you can see, the layout is very technical, and there is no way to relax while driving. There is something I want to talk about the durability of the upper arms of Xray X4 '24 but it seems like no one wants to listen.

It's been a while since I posted my last video. Finally, I revisited the astroturf park to play with Schumacher ProCat 4WD vintage buggy! I ran the buggy with the HobbyWing 13.5T outlaw brushless motor and 2s 7.4V lipo battery. It seemed overpowered and overgrip but still super easy and fun to drive this beautiful vintage buggy.

This was my first practice with the modified touring car at 360 Fordham hobbies indoor carpet track. Definitely, there are lots of things I need to work on but nonetheless, it was extremely fun and thrilling to play such fast speed TC at the carpet track. The good thing is I can see a little bit of improvement in every run. It's very motivational. :D

I've got the same electronics in mine. Instead of completely removing the fan from the XR10 ESC I found a low profile one and got shorter screws to mount it on. Seeing yours work without the fan at all I may consider removing all together. It runs well with the 13.5T motor and I recently got larger pinion gears to try with it for a little better top speed (haven't yet though)... but since this just seemed to barely get to a speed that I like with that setup (and I don't know that a a few more teeth on the pinion gear would help that much) I've ordered a 10.5T to try out. If it's too fast I may either put a slightly smaller spur gear in or go back to 13.5T and go with a larger spur gear. I mainly bash with it... so we'll see how it goes. 🙂

Very, very nice paint job. I would probably buy an extra/spare front bulkhead cover for this design, primer the outside, then paint that orange too. Then mount some black or white 2.2" wheels to finish it off.

Great video. I love X-rays. I can’t justify a new car because it’s no dedicated tracks near me. All of them are 2 hrs or further. I bought a used 2021 car.
2021 is still decent even for the competitive race. So just enjoy running your machine! 😊

Nope. I just clean up the body using dishwashing soap
@@sooyoun30 maybe that's my issue, I would use alcohol to clean the bodies. Even with sanding I'll get cracking and flakes from impacts

XRay looks a way ahead of the Tamiya. Tamiya looks like like more lazy steering and less rear grip. Could probably be tuned but I felt the same with my 419xr . I think Tamiya is a bit behind in modern cars . That gt paint is amazing !

I've never tried liquid mask with an airbrush. What nozzle size and PSI do you use? How many coats? Do you dilute it with water?
1.4 and hard to say how many coats. You just have to try many times. Too thick or too thin both are not good. Around 35 and nope. No water

Sembra saldato verticalmente ma in realtà è stato eseguito orizzontalmente. Ho appena spostato l'ESC e il motore dalla mia auto precedente, X4 '23, quindi è stato facile installarli sul '24.

So touring cars like this have locked diff at the front and back? Or is only one locked?
Front = spool, and rear = diff. This has been for more than 10 years in TC.

What did you think of the build? This is easily the most frustrating and difficult touring car I have ever built.
I can't agree with you more!! I had the exact same feeling after I built and rolled the car for the first time. You need to change the setup dramatically I guess. Depending on your track condition, you need to find out the way that the car has more rear grip without losing much of the steering.
New layout looks tough. See you at the track and the body of course looks great !

Do you find a noticeable improvement in the horizontal rear body posts ?
Honestly, nope. Especially, if you need more rear grip, a horizontal body post is not desirable.
So i guess the horizontal body posts get you more rotation? @@sooyoun30
