Gasland BE422B Propane Water Heater Review/Demo - Washing our Puppy Dog! 🐕🐶
@Gasland.official
This video reviews the BE422B camping shower. During the summer my wife and I wash our dogs outside with the garden hose. We have been using a smaller capacity water heater from another company that has performed okay, but really lacked some creature comforts and performance with water flow through the shower head. Highly recommend this unit! while we use it to wash our puppies, it definitely would perform extremely well as a camping shower, or even as a tankless water heater for a small cabin as the flow rate of 4.22 gallons per minute is extremely powerful.
A big thank you to the people over at Gasland Products for allowing us to review this unit for them! You can check out more information about the unit below. please reach out in the comments if you have any questions!

I'm trying to bypass the integrated blinker circuit in my BCM because mine went out, and Chevy thought the best solution was to make it keep the headlight marker light on 24/7 weather the truck is on or off. So I'm installing a relay that turns them on when I turn the key, and then using the rear blinker as a power signal to blink the relay for turn signal
A rip-off price on those circuit boards. Generally when a board gets a hole burned in it it would be best to replace it since the support for the parts to stop movement will be gone( I have repaired more than a few ,but they were for stationary items). Hot glue cracks loose over time.
@@tsl7881 agreed and yes Hot glue is not the best vibration protection. Neutral curing silicone is a much better option. I was able to fix the board as you see but unfortunately the generator had an internal flying short in its stator. This is maybe the worst board that I worked on All of the other boards that I've worked on in the past only had blown components but the circuit board itself was intact
thanks for the video! Any idea how I could do this if my house has 4 zones? I have 2 ewc-st-2e's that are connected together.

Does the power consumption decrease or does the cooling output go up after the conversion to dual hose?
@@datageek9132 cooling output goes up I've noticed. Not stealing cooled air to blow over the condenser coils.
The green indicator light is not on while im trying to charge it. It's brand new.
@@Brittanybluejeansbluejeans Even if the battery is charged the green light should come on momentarily but shut off if it is close to full charge. You may have a problem with the battery and or the charging circuit internally
Is the unit truly self draining? Is the a water container or is draining onto a tray?
@@mrzif0013 there is a tray at the bottom of the unit with a drain port. There isn't a lot of water in the tray during operation because the evaporator coil condensation drips onto the hot condenser coils which re evaporates it and is sent out the exhaust tube.
Helpful the see this conversion. You have not clearly shown that apparently the ac also draws in air from a side opening for condenser cooling (in addition to the back intake which you pointed out). Could you draw the air that cools the condenser not from outside the house but from a basement? In a basement or a cellar you'd have geothermal cooling of the air, so you would be using that pre-cooled air and thus the machine might work even more effciently.
@@wkgurr Yes the intake for the condenser is on the rear and also the side. I suppose it would be possible to draw from a cooler room but you need to complete the loop so you do not create a vacuum negative pressure situation which is exactly why this mod was done. I've been running the unit like this for the past couple years with the second hose and no issues.
Would you pay $ 2300 for this generator
@@brendangriffin1791 compared to weather machines out there It's the better price than a Honda or Yamaha. They seem to be pretty decently built but they are also being used in a lot of food truck applications and that's a very tough environment in general.

I have a Korg D3200 and it powers up but stays on the main screen, do you have any suggestions?
@@Rockstarrodeos If it's got the original spinning hard drive it is likely gotten corrupted and failed. That would be my guess. Extreme case scenario you might be missing voltages from the power supply and that's usually indicated by all of the clip lights being on steady. If the clip lights are not on and merely blink for a second it's not the power supply. And that scenario I would suggest changing out the hard drive for a working IDE.

@@Bassguitarist1985 thanks for the response. I wish they had left it alone. I do not want to put a $250 board in it to find out it has other major issues. Good video. I bought this tank and will never buy again. Who would've thought that it needs to be completely disassembled and parts changed every year. i wish you showed how to take off cover and how to drain. Buyer beware on this tank. Who designs these things? Appreciate the video
Thanks for sharing. My apologies on not showing that part. It's only a few Philips head screws that hold the cover on. How I drained it is the hard way, meaning I had to take a full tank and flip it upside down in the kitchen sink to drain it out. There's really no other way to do it.
I just bought and used this generator during a tropical storm and am getting ready to store it. How would you recommend to drain the fuel from the tank. Could I just drain the whole tank through the carburetor drain port?
@@billpalmer887 draining tank through carb will take forever. Use a vacuum pump suitable for gasoline for the tank, and drain the carb bowl. Stabilized fuel will not stop it from absorbing moisture from the air, only prevents phase separation between ethanol and gasoline. Water absorption is what destroys fuel.

I had (and still have, but outgrew) one of the Caline power supplys shown in your video. It served me well at the time but now I have a large pedal board that required an MXR ISO Brick for my HX Stomp and digital pedals plus a mini ISO brick for my dirt pedals and whatever else I'm patching in at the time. I still have to use output splitters and I daisy chain multiple pedals on the high current outlet of the mini ISO brick. I always thought it was odd that the wall adapter for the Caline power supply was rated at an output of 1.5 mA but the sum of all outlets on the power supply itself is 2.6 mA. How can this be?
@@onlyusernameleft2 1.5A at 18VDC is 3A at 9V. Not all the outputs are 9V but I can assure you the wall adapter is more than adequate.

Two 100s, two 300s, four 100s, two 500s? Is this actually on the inside, or did someone mess up? Usually power outputs increase as they go left to right, or follow some kind of more intuitive pattern.
