This was a fantastic review of some TTArtisan lenses! They really are making awesome glass now. I have the 27 and love it, my favourite for everyday/street/travel. And I also just got the 56mm f1.8 lol, it's a great portrait lens!

When we got closer to the end of the video, yeah the backgrounds weren’t so great. I always wanted to shoot around that location bc of the boats and old buildings. But it was sooooo crowded which made it so difficult to pick and shoot locations. I think if it was raining or cloudy I would have had better options.
No it's not, and it wasn't programed at the level of every detail the shooting, just creating on spot with what you have

Yeah for the first two shots but idk I just wasn’t feeling shooting manual focus that day bc of the heat and the massive amount of people around me. I needed to be quick with my shots in and out type deal 😂 I’m definitely going to do a dedicated video for the Mitakon bc it’s an amazing portrait lens.

Nice video. I'm wondering with the adaptors does the camera stop down as you shoot so you can view at full aperture as any camera or does the viewfinder get dark as you stop down. Thanks

Nice 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 IDK what it is but the look and the feel of a XPRO body with a Voigtlander lens is soooo gooood❤️. Oh Yeah the image quality is great too. When my camera looks and feels sexy, my confidence as a photographer is sky high (😂IDK maybe it just me? ) It’s a beautiful combo 💪🏽
The tip about making sure the dancers approve of any images you share is HUGE. Thank you for saying that! As a dancer and photographer I’ve seen it happen so many times especially when I’ve worked with other photographers. Especially when photographing ballet because it is so technical and precise. If the foot is turned in or a standing leg is bent, etc, no dancer is going to want that seen anywhere no matter how good the rest of the image looks. I think its so helpful for anyone wanting to photograph dancers to research proper technique and such first in order to get the best images to be able to keep working with dancers.

Nice video. I would have gone with the 23mm for this shoot, since your background is extra busy. I have a hard time separating her out (in my head) from the busy environment. That 23mm would give you just a tad bit more separation for this shoot, and yet still allow you to easily make out what the scene looks like.
I 100% agree with you but I purposely chose to use the 28mm focal length to shoot these portraits. It was my first time EVER shooting dance this wide and I really really wanted to see the results I would get. I loved a lot of the images but not a fan of shooting this wide for dance. lol When I shoot dance I usually use a 50mm or higher. Thank you and I appreciate the love!

@@DIGITALNYC Yea man, it arrives Monday the 28th, can’t wait. I was actually gonna buy a rangefinder film cam but decided the FILM FAD will be gone before you know it! I just can’t see myself 1: buying film, 2: shooting film 3: sending the film out to get processed 4: then scanning film to upload! Nah, been there done that! Never again film for me! 😂🤣😂🤣😂. So the lens made way more sense to me. 👍🏼👍🏼
Man these are AWESOME, i have been thinking about getting this lens for my X-PRO3 even though i own the FUJI 35MM 1.4, After looking at this i will order it, i already have the FUJI M MOUNT for my X-PRO3 so this is will be my first VOIGTLANDER lens for my FUJIFILM. Nice shooting.

Can it be used to filter pictures taken by smartphone?
Unfortunately no it gives you recipes you can input into your fujifilm camera to create different film looks.
I use my Hasselblad V series lenses and my Mamiya M645 lenses on my 50SII. I like the results and it only makes sense to me to use the really good lenses I already have
