Yes, it is required to wear the uniforms especially for freshmen. They can get dress code violation penalties in some universities in Thailand and have to do volunteer work in the campus as a punishment. However, wearing uniform is depending on your classes and activities. Some lectures do not have a strict dress code and students can wear casually. Also for some activities, mostly every major has their own style activity wears ( usually a polo shirt with faculty logo and jogger), students can wear them at that time. If someone who is not under any categories with free style clothing, he/she maybe a visitor or a student just wandering in the campus at the free time. ;D

It’s my pleasure to share what I know. Students dormitories in the campus are not expensive compared to the rooms that are outside. A few years ago, the dorm prices are about 1200 thb to 6000 thb per semester (if I am not wrong) depending on which dorm you’re going to stay. Example, the dorm fees in Nursing campus are higher. Of course , it’ll only available for the nursing students. FYI, four people have to share the room. I’m afraid that there’ll not be available for one person room. Please check the link of the CMU dormitory office. udo.oop.cmu.ac.th/en/ However, if you’re going to rent a room outside, you may find the rooms which cost 2000 thb to higher monthly. Plus, you may need your own vehicle to commute. Hope this helps.

As far as I see, everyone is allowed to study in the universities here. It doesn’t matter about the ages, races and religions. My classmates were from both eastern and western countries. Age ranges from 18 to over 30.

To be honest, I never get invited for the interviews in both of the universities that I studied. Don't know it is a good thing or just leave me into a wonderland. 😂 I filled out the application form with necessary documents that they asked, took the universities' English test and got into the uni. Through my friends experiences, in the university, normally they will ask 1. to introduce yourself 2. Why do you want to study in this university? 3. Why do you choose this major for your study? 4.about your future plan after getting the degree from the university 5. why do you want to study in Thailand and 6. a few questions about how you will handle the cultural shocks if you are an international student because majority are Thai students even you are in the international program - therefore your perspective to Thai friends and cultural will scores you in the interview.
