How to use HWA format zen blue my iphone ?
Who’s the interviewer, Steve who?….love his guitar playing!
In the Instrument Rack I can switch from one instrument to another using a MIDI controller or computer keyboard. I am controlling the parameters of my instruments that are inside the Instrument Rack using a controller. Each instrument has its own parameters. To switch from one instrument to another, in the Instrument Rack, I also use a MIDI controller, but when I switch instruments, in order to control the parameters of the respective instrument to which I switched, I have to click (inside the Instrument Rack) with the mouse on the instrument I am using, so that I can “activate” it, and thus be able to control its respective parameters. Is there a way to do this operation of switching instruments, and at the same time keep it “activated”, without using the mouse?
got 24 tracks at 32 buffer, 31 tracks at 512. also got 9 tracks at 4 buffer and 30/31 seemed consistent for any buffer from 128 and above right up to 2048. i5 8500, 16gb of ddr4 2666, nvmw ssd, windows 11 and Cubase 13 pro. interface was a Tascam us20x20. this test just loaded the asio guard until it failed.
Did you ever make the video for the Shure SM7B into OBS?
What about the Aeon 2 Noir for mixing? Have a Choice between the two.
Just ordered it 🫡
You won’t be disappointed !!!!! I love mine !!!!
still after 3 years - this video was sooo helpful thank you. And I thought I'm the only one with the plosive issue haha. THANKS, just ordered the RK345
I love this headset, despite it is still not as clear as the Sony MDR-7506s, it has a 48v condenser microphone!
For those who don't want to spend 2.5k on headphones, I can recommend the Hifiman Arya Stealth
36:54 Headphone technology now surpasses the best of speakers ... in detail damn (y)
An interesting and robust discussion from superlative musicians and guitarists. Engaging and knowledgeable questions, thoughtful comprehensive relaxed answers. Having seen these two before, I still learned several new things about them and their musical journey. Well done
👍🌟👍
It would be very interesting with a new benchmark, maybe with the new 9000-series fromAMD is out since both that and the previous gen, the 7000-series, use DDR5 as well. Some kind of benchmark with Voicemeeter Potatoe in use would be interesting for real time production with several sound sources, some filters etc..
thanks so much for this! Any tips on using the Yamaha HS8's in a small room?
Glad the scale mode lets you play all the notes because melodies completely alligned with scales without bluenotes can sound dull
I did this test on a minisforum nbp7 with 32 gb ram and a 1 tb drive, with windows 11 and cubase 13 pro. Got 65 tracks with 512 buffer and 52 with 32 buffer.
Always appreciated the ScanProAudio website, glad to see there's a CZcams channel too
All I can say is wow. Thank you
I just recorded a call-in podcast interview. One live mic in the studio and a caller phoning in. All settings seem to show normal recording. Now when I'm listening to my WAV file, I don't hear the caller. Is this something you could help with?
Just got my E3s. They put my Arya Stealth and D9200 to shame. The E3 is an incredible headphone. Works great on RME ADI-2 DAC FS. Gotta try the Qudelix T71. How much headroom does it leave?
Bought the T71. It drives the E3 like a champ in balanced mode. 2W of output.
@@sproket343 It's hard for me to imagine that it can be significantly better than an Arya Stealth. I would love to test the E3 as well. i i would be grateful if you could briefly explain what exactly makes the E3 better than the Arya Stealth? :)
@@b.z9940 I tried E3 in Amsterdam, have a review of Stealth in my channel. E3 was simply competing with 5k open backs in that store and smoked everything out it was such and experience i regret not buying it... Arya Stealth is meh compared to E3.
@@coardtech I'm just wondering if the price justifies it and if it can really be significantly better... Personally, I don't want to spend more than €1000 on headphones. Under €1000, I haven't found anything better than the Arya Stealth and I've tried a lot of headphones.
@@b.z9940 unless you need better build, comfort, portability etc. And have access to eq, no need. Arya is superb
what u can say about adam a4v ? what cons they have for purpose of mixing ?
Most excellent!
This is not full systemwide replacement. By the way, Equalizer APO and REW are free too.
I checked recently to see if "Pros' were getting on with 11. I asked those of my Windows using colleagues who had updated to 11 whether things had improved and they reported that they had gone back to 10 because of instabilities with their music software systems on 11. I shall continue to hold off until it is no longer possible to run Win10. If things with Win11 haven't stabilised by then then I'll be looking to a different platform. Microsoft, please don't force me to go to Apple ... I DON'T WANNA !!! 😭
What's the best speaker right now for near field?
Im confused regardinf the "Line out" vs "Headphone out" comments. I dont understand it. For example, if I have an RME babyface pro interface, surely i have to use the headphone out port, right? Is it only for certain interfaces?. I know i can connect a pair of LCDxs XLR to the back of the babyface but then i wont be able to use monitors. Any input would be so much appreciated as im just not getting it.
That’s if you drive a separate headphone amp, not using a built in one on the interface. The babyface Pro 3.5mm jack, although lower power is only 1ohm impedance, as opposed to 10 ohm on the 6.35. If it goes loud enough for you, you might well find it has more accurate bass with LCD-X than the 6.35mm.
@@ScanProAudioTVThat's very interesting. I forgot to specify that it's the Babyface pro FS so it's 0.1 ohm. Is that still ok?. I know it's more than often used for Iem's. Thanks a lot for responding. My LCD-X have been ordered so looking forward.
i am thinking of buying a blade strat style i paly shadows stuff will it have a fender type sound
I’ve never played a baritone before but I think you have just sold me on the idea.
Do you think the Motu M2 will be enough to power them?
No, absolutely not. The motu M2 has 32mw at 32 Ohms, you want about 20 times that! Get a Topping e2x2 instead.
I collected firewire to from my computer and my 24.4.2. all it said was Id card not found. What is it talking about
At 1:18 , how thick does that panel need to be? And how far away should you put the speaker from that panel? Treat it like the wall and leave a few inches away from it?
Can you duplicate / copy / paste pads with the hardware ?
This was the most amazing video I've watched this year man !! For EQing Headphone though, Do u use Linear Phase? or Mixed (Natural Phase)? or No latency?
I normally use natural phase on pro-q, unless i'm really wanting to keep the latency down.
@@ScanProAudioTV this video, especially the "Target Curves" part, was extraordinarily good and informative. I rly appreciate ur videos. cheers man
I literally cant get rix of background noises
Between the E3 vs MM-500 which gives more detail and sound stage?
If I EQ the MM500, It’s fairly close for detail, but there is one huge difference and that is the treble region on the MM500 is naturally more recessed and it doesn’t have the sub shelf. Because of the treble difference, the E3 feels more detailed.
@@ScanProAudioTV Thanks!
I think this could be used with thin body 12 string to make it sound like a guild.
Great video. You got the pedal sounding it’s best.
Would you recommend this headset for vocals? For recording amateur vocals at home on a zoom R20? And, is there any Wireless receivers and transmitters that you could recommend for this headset? Thank you for the video it does sound good.
Can those inputs be used for instruments? in turn to allow someone to do a live stream of a live band onto a social media platform
Why not Audeze LCD-XC for closed back comparison/alternative? That is designed for mixing and is cheaper than E3. I love my LCDX (new 2021+)and for me it would be out of the XC and E3 for a closed back
I cover this around 15:30. I love the XC, it’s in my opinion, a better headphone than the X, certainly tonally. However, it’s a third heavier than the E3 and you really can feel it after a while and the sub does seem slightly uneven when you play tones. I would say that for soundstage and detail on the E3 are the winner from the two and for tonal balance, it’s definitely the E3 for me, I like where the sub sits, I do like to tweak the EQ on the xc in the lower mid and to move the ear gain region back up. The XC feels like a great closed back headphone, the E3 sounds like a great open back headphones. Theres some new Dekoni vegan replacement pads for the LCD range which may well work well to help it with the slight tonal issues, I will have test with them when they come into stock.
@@ScanProAudioTVI commented before I saw that part haha but thanks for clarifying. Comfort and weight are for sure great benefits for long sessions. And openness/soundstage for a closed back sounds great. It sounds like the E3 bleeds/doesn’t isolate great though? Which is funny that they’re more portable; I know some producers who use lcdxc as portables even working on music in cafes and airports haha
I have a Lewitt mic, they are the real deal. Clean, Crisp and Quiet. I want buy any other brand now.
how's the off axis rejection?
I have a different smartphone
Sorry, I don't speak English and I understood little from the video even with the subtitles. Can I ask you (as an aid for mixing and mastering) what is better between Ollo Sx5 and HifiMan Edition XS? Imaging, soundstage, accuracy of bass, middle and trebble? I would listen with a focusrite 2i2. Thanks and sorry for the trouble.
You will need a better interface amp than a 2i2 for the XS. The S5X would work fine though. The s5X is tonally slightly better, but the Edition XS would be my pick for everything else, detail, separation, soundstage etc.
@@ScanProAudioTV thanks
MacBook Max M3 48GB Headshones through a USB dock (internal sound as away from home) = 186 tracks at 128 Buffer. Not sure how much difference internal card and dock would make but will test again in house. So tried with scarlet 2i4 and an additional 10 track. 196 @ 128 buffer. Scrolling, opening menus within cubase all fine.
I'd love to hear your take on the Stealth vs E3 please. I have the E3, love it, but I also heard the Stealth, and arguably fell in love more with the Stealth sound. Seemed to be the absolute best listening experience of my life. The Stealth : pure naturalness, lots of insights into details that somehow seem hidden on other headphones, like... A quite unique, ultra fine granularity somehow, & not the result of a tuning choice, more like shear speed and precision ; tuning, ultra neutral and breathtaking ; *I prefered the Stealth's bass over the E3's bass*, as I feel like it's a bit less prominent, but more truthfull and detailed, nuanced & deep, all by-products of the lower distortion of the Stealth's bass I believe... The E3 : in comparison, I find the bass a tad too much (feels boosted, unlike on the Stealth), and a bit less fast & defined (monochromic) , and sometimes, I find the high mids and trebles a bit agressive. But it's by far the best headphones I've used in my studio-life. I don't listen to my monitors much anymore, I prefer the E3 (and they are PSI A21M... So that says something). Until now I was rocking DT770 so the jump in quality is drastic. I still love the DT770 though, for they are really really well tuned and I can mix on them with good translation. To me : Stealth = ATC/Genelec ; E3 = KRK/Dynaudio ? It's the bass that's way different in my opinion. I wonder what you think, empirically about these two. And would it make sense to have both the E3 and the Stealth ? One for production (E3), one for mix & master (Stealth) ? Cheers mate (btw I had reached you via the website and the sale team, and you answered me months ago about my question regarding the E3, saying upfront the E3 was the best production headphones, and you sealed the deal really, because IMO you're the best headphone reviewer on CZcams, so thank you ! You were *so* right !) xxxxx
wow ...at 13:50 i thought thank you for the honesty and information...i don't need to try out the mv7 ....at 15:50 i thought thank you again...i'm sold on trying the mv7 out ....very good review...exactly the information i was looking for...(only infos i'm missing is how it sounds with xlr output+rk345 and how well it takes eq because i'm more interested in the mv7x) ...subscribed!
I have this without the pickguard. I added locking tuners and also replaced the nut and saddle with high quality bone and had a very good luthier do all the work. It's been a solid guitar and plays very well.
Gooot Ya
I compared them with my dca steath several months ago. I think it is almost the perfect headphone. It has a closed back design but the sound leakage is noticeable higher than normal traditional designs since it has two hole for releasing bass pressure purpose.
yes, its definitely better at isolating than an open back, but you certainly would annoy other people in the room or spill onto a recording if you had it on.
