I was never a fan of Nancy's selfish character but in this series, there were episodes where she redeemed herself in the most unexpected ways. I love the scene close to the ending: when talking to Buddy, she remarks that if she had a chance to be sixteen again, she'd be "a little less like me and a lot more like you." Beautiful words and just what Buddy needed to hear at that moment. Fair to say most teenagers would appreciate an adult showing that much confidence in them.

I had posters of Leif Garrett all over my walls! I thought he was such a grown up. Seeing both Kristy and Leif here made me realize how very young I was myself! I had no idea. They’re babies! And when you’re that age, you don’t get the concept of time and the future and of how many things you’ll have to look forward to and the many regrets you’ll have if you short change yourself. I loved watching this. I remember this episode back in the day.
