Both layers need to be converted to curves . Select layer or object ie text, click layer menu at the top, click convert to curves

It makes both my layers disappear

Does the text remain edible?? That method looks time consuming compared to Illustrator but if the text can be changed without doing all that work again that would be great.

So when using the artboard "clip to canvas" is default on and greyed out. What to do when moving objects outside the artboard? In wireframe mode some of them can be selected, some not. So things are gone and when exporting to pdf you have all the trash in your document. Any ideas? AD is getting worse with each update. Its closing up to f***ing AI :(

Hey man, After adding a picture from my pc, I follow all the steps, but then when I want to copy it out, is copies the whole image. Im just left with the cutting lines I've made. Why?

The color picker does to work like that for me. It will only pick up color from my desktop screen. No other images outside of affinity other than the desktop. ?????

Must be out of date because I get a pop-up selection and it doesn't work

when I hit the subtract button all it did was put little squares and little circles around the letters inside my rectangle and now my rectangle is highlighted but it won't subtract the text from the rectangle.
