I think saying that museums don’t recognise the non-Jewish victims is a concerning comment. Firstly, every Holocaust-related Museum I’ve been to (across Europe and in the USA) has had areas devoted to other groups targeted by the Nazis and their cohorts. Secondly, the Jews were by far the largest group targeted, so they rightly have the majority of representation. Commenting that other groups aren’t mentioned as much is a bit of an “all lives matter” type of argument in my opinion. That said, this is an excellent telling of the story of Lidice and its origins. It’s an event that is often less well covered and I’m glad to see you representing it here.

It’s nice to see people still recognizing the events at Lidice. Usually, people just focus on more recognized instances. My great-great grandmother had escaped from Lidice when the Germans came marching into Czechia. Still ask what would’ve happened to her if she stayed, especially since she was Jewish.

having watched a lot of actionadventuretwins videos on cave explorations, that area does look like it could have one, especially if it is made of limestone. i watched a video of them going into a cave, that had a single hole in the ground. they entered in and they repelled down 100 feet, or close to 31 meters deep. often large voids do have a simple hole at the top, eagles nest in florida and a cave network in Australia, the later of which was discovered in the 1930's when the hoof of a horse opened it up in the 1930's. both of these locations have large 300 ft tall and wide cavities, which can only be accessed by a small hole in the top. they are both underwater, however, and require special equipment and special training to dare enter, a lot of lives have been lost in those caves.

Holy shit , I remember this one. Please kids do not watch it! I ended up thinking about this kid screaming for his mom (I think, don’t know Russian) while he got his throat cut up. Seeing someone that scared in their last moments on earth , being killed in such a cowardly fashion with the cameraman gleefully cheering on at the whole thing. You will experience an emotional rollercoaster of revulsion , sadness, anger, even hatred, then followed by a prolonged period of serious apathy . Spare yourself ! I think this could really fuck with your head, and give you a version of ptsd for a while, and it can affect your view on humanity and even relationships
