The American Dream: The Dusty Rhodes Story (2006) Review
This sounds like a great movie about little known hobo culture. I'll check it out! Thank you!!🌠
This is my 6th favourite film of all time. Glad you enjoyed it. I hope you see more Tarkovsky. Stalker is definitely another interesting one.
How is a plot like this ever get made? Make's you root for the plane to implode and feed the sharks, win, win. Thanks for suffering so we don;t have to.
This is a very good different kind of vampire movie. The reason you are unfamiliar with it, is because at the time of release Paramount studios had no fath in it doing well so they did not prompt it. Thanks of the review.
Thank you for watching and imparting knowledge on me 👍🏻
This movie raises so many questions and has so many levels. Fascinating to say the least. Thanks for your take on it.
Yes I agree, this is like a cinematic onion. So many layers, I feel like I didn’t scratch the surface of things this films explores.
I've always considered this Wayne's attempt at the Dirty Harry phenomenon.
That’s a very astute observation and I can absolutely see that! It had a very Dirty Harry feel to it and I could see a producer saying they needed a mans man like Eastwood and the next guy in the manly line would be The Duke lol
Old fashioned movie in the mavrick age of film making. This is a good popcorn cold beer movie night. Thanks for the review,
Dollar Tree Jaws!! 🤣🤣 Thank you!
Excellent description
Absolutely terrible film. Loved every second of it
I love your reviews! I'll check this one out! Another great Korean zombie film is Train To Busan.
Yes Train to Busan is excellent!! Just watched it not long ago. It will be getting a review soon.
Also saw this one in the theater when it first came out. It is good for a mid-seventies disaster film. Thanks for the review.
Thank you for watching and subscribing.
Saw this in the theater and loved it. Thanks. Subscribed.
this is my favorite airport movie
After watching the first 3, It’s mine as well!
Thank you!
Glad you liked it
Thank you!! 🌠
Have to rewatch this, not seen it in years!
It’s definitely worthy of a revisit my man!! Go for it!
Great take. I always loved this movie. It's just ...odd.
Great review!
Thanks!
You are hot!! ❤
Dudes Doin' Dude Stuff 3; The Musical. 🤣
Nice job mate, I'll have to check the movie out. Love the mention of Kayfabe and protecting the biz, it was an art and a hard one to get right.
Both versions of Cady were epic and scene stealing. I loved the charisma, articulate cleverness and bulging muscles of Deniro, but Mitchams Cady oozed creepiness, sarcasm, mind games, menace and he was a pure degenerate psychopath. Both 10/10, whereas I was captivated by Deniro’s and couldn’t take my eyes of him, but Mitcham’s possessed both dark humour and absolute terror.
I totally agree with that!
I'm glad I looked up a review first. I almost did a blind watch. Thanks, man! Subscribed.
That what im here for.
👍
Nice 👍

Hi
Hello there
Hi ❤
Hello there
He dude - good video! The director's surname can be said "Vee-len-noove" While the weirding way is part of the book, the weirding modules are a fabrication for the Lynch film alone - but should Paul make this full and bizarre transition into a rock-shattering person if we're also meant to have room for doubt, suspicion, confusion as to whether he is the Kwisatz Haderach (even the Emperor's Reverend Mother is unsure)
I never knew the rock smashing bits were strictly for the lynch interpretation. Thank you for clearing that up.
Your kid liked it, so sweet. This is one of my favorite movies, I haven't seen the others either.
Thank you for this review. The 1991 interpretation of this story IMHO shares the outline and framework of the story but is different in important ways. Especially the Bowden family. The 1962 is more black (Max Cody) vs white (Bordens). 1991 has shades of grey.
I own DVDs of the following: 1. Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) Scared me as a kid when I saw it on Creature Feature on Saturday afternoon. 2. Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) Saw the premier at the movies at age 15 & it scared the bejesus out of me. Veronica Cartwright of Alien fame is also in it. Can't forget her. 3. Body Snatchers (1993) Unsung excellent adaptation with a great cast including Meg Tilly, R. Lee Emry & Forrest Whitaker. Could be considered a companion piece to the 1978 version. 4. The Invasion (2007) Not great, but I liked it alright. It got terrible reviews, but isn't as bad as one might think. Stars Daniel Craig & Nicole Kidman.
Congratulations! - it's a slow process to build up a community as I myself found out. Movies were and are my "constant companion' too!
Thank you for the words of encouragement.
Exactly, it's okay to have a movie end without it being completely resolved. Feels like they just wanted to give it a "resolve" with the end instead of leaving it open. Very 2000s of them, overall decent movie though for a fourth adaptation is a good sign though.
The original isn't scary , this one is terrifying .
Very much so
You’re welcome man. To be honest only watched a couple reviews so far. But keep chugging 👍🏻
Good cast and slick action. Too bad that “good cast” can’t act worth a damn. Otherwise this would be good.
I can see your point. Thanks fir commenting by the way.
In Japan when the movie was released in theaters back on Dec 4th 2004, the English speaking cast including Douglas Gordon (Frye), Kazama and Alien X English response were dubbed in Japanese, aswell with the Japanese closing credits with the Japanese dubbing cast and Blue Godzilla text being lighter. Tetsusho Genda was the Japanese voice actor for Douglas Gordon. This version was called the dubbed version. the Japanese language version that was on the intenational version that had English closing credits and darker Blue Godzilla text was originally from the subtitled version where the Japanese subtitles were for the English speaking cast including Douglas Gordon (Frye), Kazama and Alien X English response. The subtitled version also had Japanese closing credits but removes the Japanese dubbing cast and with the lighter Blue Godzilla text.
Heck yeah, another Hulu underground movie.
Hulu really does have sleepers man. I’ve found quite a few unheard of gems on there.
Hahaha yes it was!
Sounds Awesome! I'll add it to the watch soon list when it streams. Lol
The Invisible Ray is Radiation? 😂 I honestly didn't see that coming from the title.
I had no clue he made a new movie! I just watched its trailer and thst movie looks like it’s nothing but enjoyable
It’s a fun ride!! Hope you enjoy if you decide to check it out. 🤙🏻
I liked this as a kid because it was rated PG, and it seemed like all the really good movies were rated R in those days, and I couldn't get in to see them. I rewatched it recently and liked it even more than I did in '73. I'm not surprised that it commands a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Subscribed: Thanks for your review, I almost watched it .
That’s what I’m here for 👍🏻, Thanks for the sub!
WTF with the end of this film. I didn't read the book so I didn't know what to expect, but Wow. I mean WOW. I loved the movie in part. The ending just killed me on contact though. 3/5 is Agreed.
"A Rancher and Pippy Long-Stockings, take on the Vaudevillains" 😆Saw this on Paramount, didn't plan on watching it. lol
You aren’t missing anything man lol
Agree with the review. Middle road, but a classic for sure. Obviously being somewhat younger I saw this as a kid, it predates me a little bit. May be a little nostalgia that would drive my score slightly higher to a 3.
Lol bad score
