Our accomodation in Saint-Martin-de-la-Porte was the perfect starting point for rides up the iconic tour de france summits in the region. Within 4 days we conquered:
- Lacets de Montvernier
- Col du Glandon
- Col de la Croix de Fer
- Alpe d'Huez
- Col du Télégraphe
- Col du Galibier
On the way back we stopped in Switzerland for one last ride from Fiesch through the Goms valley up to the Grimselpass.

Yes! I was there 2 weeks ago. I spent here 8 days, so 850 km and 9800 m+...🙂 On Mallorca is almost everywhere good surface on the road. I would like recommend other nice places : Sant Salvador, Randa, Orient, Betlem, Cala Rajada...

The bike rental was huerzeler and you don’t need guided tours since the scenic routes are easy to find on Komoot or other platforms and there are enough other cyclists to ask if you need to know something in additional…
do it , been twice in the last year . october 22 and april 23 . prefer october , quieter and warmer , but not too warm .

Head to Sa Calobra. Stayed in Alcudia 2 weeks ago, about 5 hour ride. Beautiful vistas as shown in this video.
Yeah definitely Sa Calobra and if you are really fit and fast maybe go also for cap formentor you can combine that but I think it’s hard to do in 5h 😉
Sa Calobra at this time of year is ridiculously busy, both with cyclists, buses and cars. An iconic climb and if you do it I would suggest a very early start from Alcudia to miss the buses.

Hey Hey, wie war es denn im nachhinein, was ist dein Eindruck vom Allegro Light und hast du dich schlussendlich für einen anderen C Schirm entschieden? :)
Hey! Fand den Schirm sehr angenehm zu fliegen allerdings hab ich keinen großen Vorteil gesehen dafür meinen lange bewährten Alpina3 herzugeben. Klar etwas leichter kleineres packmaß aber in der Luft kein großer Schritt gegenüber dem Alpina. Denke das ändert sich jetzt mit den 2leiner c Schirmen.

Wenigstens bist Du über die österreichische Seite gestartet. Bei der deutschen Seite Richtung Neuschwanstein handelt es sich nämlich um ein Naturschutzgebiet, wo Starten strikt verboten ist, superteuer wird (man ist von untenstehenden sehr gut sichtbar) und ein Strafverfahren nach sich zieht.
Danke für den Hinweis aber deshalb wurde ja auch nach Süd gestartet…wo bitte ist das verboten das wäre mir neu
Alles OK. Es geht darum, mögliche Nachahmer vorab zu informieren und vor Starts nach Nord mit dem damit nicht selten anschließend nach der Landung verbundenen, großen Trouble zu bewahren (sowie natürlich auch um den Schutz der empfindlichen Tierwelt).
