I've had experiences with friends and loved ones passing at an early age about whom I always thought "someday I'm going to sit with them and talk about old times, and let them know I always valued their friendship and support more than I ever let on". And before "someday" ever came, they were gone. There are people in my life now who I fear may not be here a lot longer (or at my age that I may be the one leaving), and I don't wish to have those regrets again. That's why this song came to mean so much to me, and why I share it with others, so we can all be pro-active about not waiting for "someday" to let people know what they mean to us and the positive impact they've had on our lives.

I just saw an email about it at around noon Saturday and decided to register and head on up there. Spur of the moment thing! I'm usually that guy who sees it a couple hours after it was over. LOL

Don't forget that the Administration had to spend over two years fighting DEMOCRATS in Congress and Communist judges over authorization to build it. While that was taking place, replacement of much old scrap metal barrier with the new wall design was moving forward under previous authorizations. That is a Leader as efficiently as possible working to remove obstacles to progress while, at the same time, implementing the portions of the plan that can be accomplished while those obstacles are addressed. Approximately 100 miles of old barrier have been replaced and, as of July 6th, 229 miles of new wall have been constructed - a good showing when considering all the crap having to be dealt with in order to move on it. Construction of new wall is now moving at around 6.5 to 7 miles per week. So by Independence Day 2021, roughly another 350 miles of new wall will have been constructed, for a total of around 579 miles of new wall. Not too shabby.
