Cheers bud looking at getting one over the weekend, just got to order them online so you can't get a feel of how flexible they are! I like a flexible trowel, but over the passed 10 years marshaltown has been slowly getting stiffer and stiffer, now I'd be better using a ♠️

Great video ty. I'm a waltham x girl. Lived fishers cls holdbrook for 40 years, russ's brother mark drinks with my brother (gota love russ and mark they r both bonkers 😆). It's tragic the amount of pubs that have shut. the old English on the bridge was owned by jimmy tarrant and when he died my uncle bought it and ran it till it shut. I used to work in the happy pig and the vault but yep basically only the weatherspoons and the vine still going. 2 pubs left in cheshunt. So sad

I found that one of you best videos Andy, but then again, I guess I am and old boy now. I encourage you to do more of these to record London's fine brick architecture, no one else will do it. I used to go to a pie and mash on Wandsworth Bridge Rd, long gone now. In that area it is mainly Victorian, Pineapples were a huge status symbol back then because they were near impossible to get. A local builder picked up on this and put stone pineapples on his buildings, I assume they are still there, we would always look up to spot them on the way to the pie n mash. All the fine work you showed complied with the classical rules of architecture. There are rules and proportions that date back to the Romans, the Greeks and even the Egyptians. I won't bore the viewers but for those who want to learn, look up something called the "Golden Ratio," that is the starting point. At the beginning of the 20th Century, classical architecture was no longer taught at University's and the new generation of Architects were told to be free thinkers. Well, I leave it up to you to decide how that turned out. The only firm I know of Architects still practising the correct way are called Adam Architects, have a look at their work. Harvey

Cities are amazing places and I love the contradiction of the old - to - new buildings, and so fascinating to see how they evolve over time as well.
