Hello.. I see setups without the fuse. Is it necessary?
What Kind Of Charger ? And Where to get it and the inverter ?
Could you have charged the batteries at the same time you were drawing current through the inverter?
Yes, provided the charger can provide enough current.
Ecoflow River 2 is a Superior Product all around with just a slightly larger footprint 👣 for around $180 Beautiful Detailed Review. Thank you 🙏
Greetings from Kenya,You guys on that side of the continent get good batteries, that's a good Mini 100ah,
It was funny listening to your dog, saying "Yes, yes! Turn on the A/C!" :) These mini batteries are pretty cool. Their size and weight are very compelling for specific use cases, plus their costs keep coming down, even when inflation is making a lot of other things more expensive. I've got that same Renogy shunt/monitor and it's been very solid for me, as well.
I have the renogy branded version of that battery monitor. It's the exact same thing. It's been great. I haven't had a single issue out of it. It's currently installed in my DIY solar generator
3rd time to watch this, I have been using the cheaper 30 pwm and a 100ah AGM with two 22 amp panels. I just got a Victron 100-30 mppt, a 200 watt anker folding panel and a 100ah lithium, 750 watt inverter to be upgraded as well.
How many actual hours did the air conditioner run off the 200 amp hours? And what type of air conditioner and how many watts is it.
Thanks for the review. Always appreciate when you open them up so that we can see what is inside.
It's been a couple of years. Is it still working and what would you change? Thanks in advance. Jim
You never start a timer and let us know how long the Air Conditioner ran from 100-0%. That data along with the specs of the window AC is important info.
I can give you an approximation. The AC was on medium, and running around 900W. The two batteries combined have a capacity of 2560Wh, so the math is 2560 / 900 = 2.84 hours. Now this AC can run around 300w on low, also depending on the ambient temp. So possibly 8+ hours on low. There's a link in the description for the AC. Thanks
That thang is so cute!
For sure :)
These are Well built inverters I've seen them branded with various names. If you had a power strip plugged into the inverter you could add 100 watt light bulbs as a final load until you reach the inverters Continuous output.
Thank you. Love your videos!
Aw, thanks :)
One of the few batteries with near adequate internal wire size to the main terminals. A T Burke
Yeah, I don't think I've seen a wire that size in a 100Ah battery. Thanks!
seems like a nice little battery for the money, thanks
Totally agree! Thanks
👍
Thanks, Ben!

That screen is the same as my Renogy and yeah it pulses.BTW for a mini battery, the weight seems kind of heavy? My full-size TimeUsb batter weights 23.15 lbs
@@mannyfragoza9652Yup, I think I've seen several that look the same :) Yeah maybe the metal plates? Thanks

Great video. What about the grounding?
Any clue how these compare to Litime batteries?
Dude, that is genius!
amazing video.. i have rtx 3060 x 8 cards. use to mine eth last 2 yrs..now plan to use sollar for maximum pfofit.. ( from Borneo Island@Sarawak )..this video help me alot sir..tq🤩
The renogy one can be purchased from the official website. So 2x200 w panels would be perfect
is the new version still having 2 packs of 4 cells connected in series with a red wire ??? I thought that was very weird and poor design in your previous video
Could you kindly provide your insight please? I'm an electronics novice and I need to run a LED floodlight that's 240W for 3 hours continuously. What specifications of LiPO4 battery should I purchase? And what other accessories do I need to buy? I'm in Canada. I appreciate any help you can provide.
my suspicion is that the BMS overheated because of bad design as you noticed the BMS has some paper or plastic that is glued to it … that’s enough to stop the heat exchange for the MOSFETS transistors
Love seeing those Sirius panels mounted. We really love these panels, and are thankful for you spreading the word. Enjoyed the information of the content as always!
@@MatthewYBarbo Thanks :)
This is literally the explanation I've been looking for as to how long can a battery run a fridge for...THANK YOU FOR THE UNMATHICAL DEMONSTRATION ❤
Do you have a link for balancer used?
Cell compression on those cells looks almost non existent, Prismatic cells need good compression, those will probably swell up like pillows, the tape cant stop this. the redo do compact uses pouch cells I would buy either of these.
The Charge Controller is NOT the issue. AIM- THE-PANEL-DIRECTLY-AT-THE-SUN!!!!! GOOD GRIEF!
Around noon in the middle of summer in Texas the sun is directly overhead, so the panel pointing straight up here was directly at the sun. They sent me a new model with a different 20a charge controller that actually get the full 20a. Thanks
Is it really 300AH? It's too small for a 300AH battery
Yes, it's really 300Ah.
I don't care for the display. Not easy to use and what the battery percentage is.
Get information
Well for me I really want that kind of battery but its seems like I can't afford the price too high but the quality pretty sure about it. Watching from the Phil.
Nice! Good job.
Just installed one on my boat for everything jackplate, trim, 2 1500w amps, gps, accessories, etc..., heavy agm for starting. Ordered a lithium isolator, but may try running this setup for now until that comes. I do have both batteries isolated with battery switches. Motor will charge the agm. Thinking when motor is running I can connect both through the battery switches. Any thoughts or concerns? Or I should just charge the lithium at home with dc lithium charger?
Would this setup be somewhat viable on an ASIC rig? I looked into their power supply and it only needs about 12.3VDC output with similar 6-pin connections. Accounting for the increase load requirements with a larger solar panel array (I have 54 panels at 345watts currently) and a larger battery bank (260AH with more batteries on the way), I think it could be viable. From the PSU output on an Antiminer S19, its rated output is 233A at 12.3V for all 3 boards. I plan to try this out with some used S19's from eBay so if it's a complete crapshoot, I'm only out about $500 for the machine.
Pre charge? How please explain this step.
Of all the inexpensive batteries you have tested and reviewed, which one would you rate as the best. I do like the blue tooth version of this one but Amazon has it listed as currently unavailable. Really like your reviews.
This Orion 1000 is a really nice battery. One of my faves is the cyclenbatt 100Ah mini if you don't need the BlueTooth/Screen. Mega low cost amzn.to/46GTBR6
Wish you would have shown how to get the top apart ?
I show my method in this video czcams.com/video/ep__TSSQ5eU/video.htmlsi=vbuU8UD2Hunv8tER&t=418 Now, as always do it at your own risk, I advise against it, don't do it, all that jazz :) Thanks
Thanks, just bought this. My other systems are Renogy, thought I would give this a shot.
❤Brad I’ve got two batteries that BMS went bad and was wondering if I can get one to replace them? And how did you get the tops off the battery, looks like they’re glued on pretty 😅good.
Looks VERY complicated and does that hand held meter come with the system?
Nice 😮. I had a commenter on a video tell me you can't connect two 24s to make 48, and I was lying. Hopefully, he sees this 😅
LOL 🤣
I’m really glad you tested two in 48v configuration. As battery density continues to increase, and they can get more amp hours out of the same size prismatic cell, this also allows them to decrease the cell size and maintain the same number of amp hours. Pretty cool! Great review thanks! 👍⚡️🤩☀️
Yup pretty awesome progress. Thanks!
Man you are knocking out the content! Nice work! Seems like a new video everyday
Hah, yeah. I think there was a time when I was getting close to a video every day. Trying knock these reviews out I have piled up, then hopefully take a break, or give me some time for projects. Thanks!
@@BradCagle Oh yeah! I feel like I am always behind lol.
Says something about the relentless advance of LiFePO4 cells when they are clearly smaller and lighter than their predecessors for the same capacity. I was thinking about the cold temperature cut off test - the aerosol spray can you use will get the probe way below 0oC, but really it should stop charging at or near 0oC. I wonder if you could use water and ice + a little salt to create a temperature at or slightly below 0oC? Maybe the water/ice in a rubber glove so you can rest one of the fingers on the probe?
Isn't it Awesome! Seems like I have noticed LiFePO4 cells getting lighter, and smaller overall. Yeah on low temp test, I've been thinking about it too. I'm thinking of building a precise tester using a peltier element with a arduino microcontroller that can PWM the power to the peltier element. It would use feedback from a temp probe to adjust the PWM signal thus hopefully holding a solid temp. Or I might just use a bench PSU to manually vary the power to the peltier and watch a thermal probe connected to my fluke. I have no free time so might be the manual route LOL :) Thanks, Ben!
@@BradCagle Peltier, pwm and temperature feedback loop is the way to go!
@@BenMitro Well just thought of another issue. So I was thinking I would just use some putty to press the battery temp sensor against the peltier but that would leave one side of the temp sensor exposed to room temperature, or in my case 95f+ sunroom. I suspect this would create a temperature gradient across the sensor. I think I would need to sandwich the sensor between two peltiers.
@@BradCagle Or drill a suitable hole in a piece of aluminium plate that the peltier is attached to. Easy enough to insulate the rest of the aluminium I imagine.
@@BenMitro That would probably work.
