They had that Smith, Stones, Roses and Oasis magic of an amazing guitarist battling with an amazing front man.
Suede and Reggie Perrin: icons of suburban life.
Good old days when the term “mental health” wasn’t banded around or worn like a fucking medal of honour, we sang about it and muddled through...these days sleeping in a soft bed can affect some people’s mental stability.
Sounds like a You problem.
I thought suede were groundbreaking when I was a young indie chap, but looking back it’s all a bit embarrassing and shit, I think we all just wanted something “different” I saw them live and don’t remember them sounding this shit..the live clips sound like chimps ransacking a music store whilst the owner wails and shrieks in a foreign tongue, maybe youth causes the brain to accept cringe on a different level because being twats ourselves , we’re unaware how twattish others are..? Don’t get me started on oasis,,
Mr. plonker, you have very schist tastes, especially when you only listen to reggaeton
Thank you for shared this video. : ) Suede is amazing!!!
nice arrangement(*_*) 8:09 - My Insatiable One-
Loved them ... and still love them. The pain of living, and at the same time, the will to live, is there in every song.
I was at that gig in Brighton. That is all.
Me too :) it was at The Event
aw bless you Molly Walker
ugh why Everett fkn True in the thumbnail tho
Low- Bowie's coolest album...?
4:50 - I'm pretty sure Brett is watching Channel 4 film Meantime, starring Gary Oldman and Tim Roth.
they did Blackpool similar time, still got my 35mm camera shots, still a fan.
Of all those remasters reissue anniversary releases, no one at their camp thought of putting this kind of content as bonus new stuff???
I know the quality is dated or whatnot but to us fans, these kind of footage is gold.
3:28 8:11 The power of Bernard Butler's guitar playing! 😳
8:28: Brett looking adorable playing drums! 🥰
Nobody commenting about watching a video of Stay Together at the writing stage? That is absolute GOLD
And killing of a flashboy!
It's funny at the start when Mat says they met Simon as he was a friend of a friend, the friend in question was Ricky Gervais 😂
I absolutely love The Big Time. To this day. Bernard's voice is so soft btw.
Brett kinda sounds like Thom Yorke when he talks
Southern English
This is fabulously and unintentionally Spinal Tap.
God they are so beautiful :') Brett's singing at the end...
Old guys with moustaches getting autographs?
Could be for their kids.
Not looking to punt them on, I'm sure. No resemblance to ticket touts whatsoever
Brilliant. Molly Walker where are you now.
Dudosos movie
God it looks so dated
I'm so glad (but not surprised) they still around and doing stuff so good. When a heard Suede for the first time I was at that strange place between childhood and teenage. Never heard from them again till the beginning my adulthood and then I was completely, utterly shocked that it took one fucking decade for me to listen to them properly.
Nirvana
Ah
oh my .. brett is an angel
The big time ❤
Just ahead of our/oasis...elastics,radleys et all. They were the zeitgeist. The young girl sums it all up beautifully!
00:37, 8:07... just love the way Bernard plays. Just amazing . the only player I think is close or similar is Jonny Greenwood
An actually good Suede documentary for a change. Makes me realise I had better taste and more sense as a teenager than I do now.
@RoathRipper I was a young Suede fan. Now have I have a fun job with low hours working in entertainment and paying £80k a year. I have a £475k home and drive a Mercedes. I don't work full-time. I fly business class. Am still into music but love to look back at my favourites from the past.
You are Molly.
You sound like Alan Partridge
What do call that? A sellout?
lol I went queensmead
Anyone know the song at 9:20 ish?
+Jourdan Redden It's Killing of a Flashboy- just with Brett singing something different over the top.
Great, thank you so much!
theyre writing killing of a flashboy. great moment caught on camera
Never seen this before what a gem! Flush with success, before the gear and the fame got it meathooks in lol Fantastic Band best bar none :)
Can you tell me what did Brett say at minute 10,12-10,15 about Bernard and the inspiration he gave to him? I didn't understand exactly ...
Brett says "I work on what gives me that spark of inspiration really"
RoathRipper Yup basically! I'm sitting in a big open-plan office, tapping away on my keyboard, avoiding boring work and looking at CZcams through my fringe. At the reunion gigs you can see the difference between those who used to like them, but dropped them after Coming Up and are just nostalgic/curious now and those that have stuck with them- leather jackets and Suede-hair- since the 90s.
Hi, do you know what year this was?
93-94?
Brett shaking hands with the little boy and everything is so sweet.
my life cannot without suede........
wonder where their young fans are today... firmly assimilated into corporate slavery probably, wondering why they dont make em like they used to...
They still have a strong fan base.
ha ha, i remember this - thankfully no one videoed Don't Call Me Eric!!!
