I got into Armada late as I was never in a financial position to get into tabletop games. After many years I finally got the core set and a few expansions last year. Now I am scrambling to get what expansions I can at retail before stock runs out. There is simply no other table top game that speaks to me the way Armada does. This is so disheartening, and it is hard to believe that years from now all of these mini’s will be strange collecter’s items from some old, long-dead game…. Sorry for the wall of text. I really feel for ya in this video man. I will try to spread the beauty of armada to all of my friends and family. Cheers!

Hey Mars, it's a sad day for all us Armada players. Appreciate seeing how cut up you are about it, it validates a lot of feelings in the community. Got to say that this has really motivated me to keep things going here in NZ. We appreciate your influence as a community leader in Aus/NZ. The game will only die when we as a community let it!

Pretty sure amg never actually 'picked up' X-Wing or Armada. It seemed pretty clear they either had no interest or no idea what to do with it from the start.

WTF is everyone acting like someone died here? Just because they're not producing new expansions doesn't mean the game has ceased to exist. I mean, God help us all when Hasbro stops producing Monopoly games, I guess. Sucks for CZcams shills who loved getting this crap for free in exchange for favorable reviews, though. I guess there is no idea to have hopes right now but still, just maybe some other company who gives a damn is allowed the license to Armada and X-Wing. It could be a glorious restart if handled by people who are passionate about it.

The true disaster of the industry is not FFG or even AMG, its Asmodee. And now they themselves are getting fkt over by embracer, good riddance I say but it will hurt all down the line.

It's crazy to think that, at one point, X-Wing was bigger than 40k. It won't be long before Legion is cancelled.

At least we don't have to wait in vain anymore for good news that never came. We can close a disappointing chapter for Star Wars Armada and hopefully begin a new chapter that could hold good things for the game. I feel your pain bro, its been good times despite everything going against our beloved game. The game will never die so long as we all gather around it and roll those dice!

Well, this is very sad. I still regard Armada as the best game I've ever played. Fortunately my personal collection is extensive (over 60 capital ships with God knows how many fighters), and lets me play any sort of engagement I want. Now it's suddenly slipped into gaming legend though. A disaster for the gaming community. 😯🌟

I'm sick of covid being used as an excuse for everything. I'm saddened by this news. I feel they have stringed us along somewhat.

If you have your ships, and someone to play with, the game will always be there.

Here in Brazil, we have a local distributor too, and although we have tha biggest X-Wing community of South America, we wasn't select to have a local GT. But we will have our nacional organized by the comunity later this year.

The community will continue, especially the casual scene. Armada is too much of an iconic game to let slip away. No doubt the competitive scene will continue to slow down without continued support, but let's hope there is indeed something positive on the horizon for Armada and X-Wing. In the meantime... We will continue to explore Dystopian Wars - the new version of the old Spartan Games steampunk fleet battle game! The Canberra crowd have taken that and run with it since we saw it at AdeptiCon HA! Hopefully, I'll catch you at AdeptiCon again next year! PS: Great to see the new Lego UCS Interceptor back there!

So I don't think I understand, Grand tournaments are the same as Nationals, but a country could hold multiple GT? I don't see the difference

I play against Robin a lot and played against his list prior to Worlds a lot. When it works it wins big, but it has some hard counters that hurt it a lot.

Next time if you can't say Shara Bey, try Shazza Bey instead! 😂 Hope things are well in the outer rim. 🇦🇺 🪃

Good summary mate. I'm still optimistic about the state of Armada, simply from the showing we saw this year. Always good to hear the thought that goes into competitive lists and the mentality going into Worlds. It was a good time overall meeting everyone and the vibe was awesome the whole time. Hopefully, I'll catch you at AdeptiCon again next year (or wherever Worlds ends up happening). Keep up the Aussie Armada content and I'm VERY much looking forward to seeing the next run of Fly Casual alt-art cards too (beers help lol)!

The reverse side poster art is the box art for the Defender Of The Empire expansion pack. There was no box art for the Enemies Of The Empire expansion as it was never available to purchase separately. Enemies Of The Empire was an exclusive to the Collector's CD-ROM release.
