      Hi @GreatBirdOfHope - Yes, I am a noob.🙂 It was the “high-style” part that I did not quite understand. I wear these Leatt on top of my full-length adventure boots, with my adventure riding pants tucked inside my boots. Because of the chin protector protrusion on the upper outside of my boots, the lower strap (closest to foot) of the Leatt is not long enough to wrap around my leg, due to a bit of a gap created by the chin protector protrusion. My boots look similar to these (mine are discontinued, though), which also come up halfway to the calf: www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/tcx-drifter-wp-boots Hope this helps answer your question.

    Hi there, Thank you also for the very interesting Japanese magazine. I immigrated to Canada from Japan 25 years ago and have been here ever since. I have not ridden a motorcycle since I left Japan, but recently my son got into the motorcycle hobby, and after consulting with him about this and that, I found myself wanting to ride a motorcycle again. Serow was released in Japan when I was young, and it was very popular at that time, and I wanted one myself. I recently learned that the North American version of the XT250 is almost the same as the Japanese Serow, and I am not sure whether I prefer the XT250 or Honda's CT125. I enjoy watching your XT250 videos. Thank you very much.

      Hello vlogFuji, I enjoyed reading your above comment, and I am glad that you enjoyed watching videos on my channel. Thank you. This past June, on my first ever trip to Tokyo and Japan, I tried to find a shop that would rent out a Serow 250 for a few hour, or for the day, but I was not able to find such a shop, although bigger street/sports bikes were available for rental. Deciding b/w the XT250 and CT125 is a very personal choice. For me, I wanted the Yamaha DT100 Enduro since I was a teenager, so the decision to get the XT250 was already made for me. If you plan to ride local streets, and not mountain trails, a lighter CT125 might be easier to manage and more fun. I would not mind it as my 2nd bike, but I hardly ride my XT250 on local streets. There is an interesting CZcams video where a CT90 and a CT125 are driven across Alaska! I would be interested to know which bike you decided on. Take care.

    Hi Raj. A quick question about your bike. I'm thinking of getting one this year. Do you find the shifter gauge to be a bit short? I just turned 55, and I am in love with this thing! I mostly ride it on dirt roads and trails in the Northern Adirondack area, and sometimes to work. I'm like you. I actually did not realize that an XT250 was used in Rambo, until after I started to search for videos on the bike, and came across the movie clip. You are lucky to be in the vicinity of Northern Adirondack. Such a beautiful area to be riding in, with miles & miles of places to ride. I live in an urban and congested area, and do not enjoy (feel comfortable) riding on city streets. The only time I ride off-road is with a group ride in Pennsylvania, 200+ miles West, in Spring and Autumn. Enjoy, and all the best!

  • @not1au
    @not1au Pƙed rokem

    Tell you a secret about the 600 mile service. It's only an oil change. Nothing needs adjustment after 600 miles. These bikes are fully assembled to exact specifications and 100% test before they ship them to dealers 1000% fully assembled. This is youtube you can actually watch the manufacturer build bikes. In the maintenance schedule it does say check vavle clearance at 600 miles but they are spot on I checked myself. It's extremely easy ( also videos showing). When you look at a motorcycle manufacturer's website it shows the MSRP and says, " Doesn't include destination fee". Nowhere does it say, " Some Assembly Required " but the dealership will make you think they had to put on wheels, Dino the bike and all the other bs. I guess the manufacturer gives the dealerships a bone with the whole 600 mile valve clearance thing. The XT 250 is just as good as the Honda CRF's but Honda makes the dealerships wait a lot longer for the valve clearance bone.

      Thanks. I have mounted my GoPro on top of my helmet. I then use the GoPro app on my phone to preview and adjust the angle. I am now used to the angle at which to mount, so I no longer use the app to preview. One disadvantage of a top-mount is wind buffeting at higher speeds. I did consider a chin-mount adapter, but I think the view is better from a top-mount. Plus, I did not want to permanently stick a chin-mount to my helmet.
