Does it still work in 2024?

I loved the updated faces and graphics, and I played the remaster. Looking back, Ellie looked really awful. Like an anime character ported to 3D which didn’t suit the rest of the game at all. The expanded mocap is phenomenal.

I just can’t get behind how he treats Mel and Abby as romantic interests. I can see he was a good friend to Abby, establishing the aquarium as an escape from their duties and kept her inner child alive, but he abused that when he slept with her and kept stringing Mel along, then ultimately sentencing Mel to death by not being willing to tell Ellie that Abby went to the most dangerous place in Seattle (scar island) it just makes me think he didn’t have any priorities and thought too highly of himself. I can’t stand people like that.

This is an excellent coverage of the characters. Very chilling to put things into perspective, I wish others had the ability to see the depth of the writing instead of wining they weren’t glorified like marvel characters.

My most painful realization in part 2 was realizing that Ellie was bad for Dina, two characters I love dearly also love each other but aren’t perfect together. It’s so realistic it hurts. Dina deserves her happy ending, focusing on her future with her son. I can’t help but wonder if Ellie can ever find a place for herself in Dina’s life again…probably not. I feel like she’ll have moved on.

I had a lot of the same realizations, mostly Abby continuing her fathers work and rebuilding the Fireflies, making a cure with Ellie and Ellie finding Joel’s house. Glad I’m not alone. I’m sure ND will find a way to keep us on our toes and subvert expectations, though.

Does this still get the trophy’s even if your on the new remaster

I love how in an apocalypse,we'll all be shouting "Dude where are you" and some people decided to whistle to say the same thing

Its an understatement to say that these changes make grounded mode feel like Light Easy. With "invisible while prone" active in particular, its more like that glitch in Payday 2 where you can literally crawl under the cops noses & steal the loot as long as you dont leave prone position

Love everything so far except for Ellie dying. As much as it would make sense it would break my heart 😭

Is there an honor cap that keeps you from progressing too early? I'm in chapter 3 and I can't get my honor to go up past about 85 percent.

Abby's "heroes journey"? Wtf are you talking about? She bashed the heroes head in with a 9 iron 10 minutes after he saved her from certain death. Abby's not the hero. Mel was right about Abby. She's always been a POS.

Defeats the purpose of Grounded.

You can catch a trolley in St Denis and greet people faster. Riding your horse, it's too easy to bump into something and get a disturbing the peace notice.

I think that Abby will play a positive role in Ellie's life. The way she has to fight against her own team(wlf) to save the enemies(Lev and Yara-seraphites) the same way I think she will fight against her former team( fireflies) to save her enemy(Ellie)

I like the challenge of killing all the enemies on grounded. LOU2 is brutal if you are trying to do it this way though. I don't think anyone alive could kill all the enemies on grounded on a single death entire game permadeath run.

I sure hope Dina will get killed off, leaving Ellie on raising JJ as her own daughter

There's an exploit that acutally allows you to play Grounded difficulty with cheats on. It was so nice to kill everyone on one hit, including the Rat king boss.. Had the trophy done in 4 hours.

Dang. Naughty dog better hire you, that's good shit. I think the coincidental part of Ellie and Abbie's meeting you're describing can't happen. Like there's need to be more of a reason for that. But obviously them connecting and continuing together needs to happen. I adore the idea of finding another character being immune but making them a villain of sorts. Might even be interesting if it is a character that joins forces with Ellie initially until they discover what this person is all about (le - evil stuff?). Love the motorcycles and the idea that Ellie and perhaps Tommy visit Joel's house. Also, doesn't tommy has a daughter with his wife/ex-wife? So it isn't completely true that Ellie is all he has left. Like I don't know if I can truly see him leaving completely like that without further reason. Maybe actually the original reason they'd leave is to go to Joels house. And on the way they find new fireflies or something like that. Anyway. Great stuff and a really good baseline imo! Thank you for sharing.

I like to think for the light alert, that on solid whistle is them thinking they saw something, and then the two small ones right after are them confirming there’s something wrong

I found a couple of these on my own and have been known since the first time played but dude I have never found cave for the statues and the derailed train next to coyotes springs insane thanks for this video man nice save would have gone forever without maybe finding it or stumbling upon this this is my last time playing RDR2 about my 4 or 6 walk through but high honor this time only reason is because I bought a hard copy of RDR1 let’s gooo I still have it sealed in the box can’t wait to open it and relive the old days but with that finishing up RDR2 and on to RDR1 perfectly

The key to this game just like any game would be to play it. And as someones whos on my 2nd playthrough since release, and trying to give it a chance, id say, i dont really want to. Its kinda boring

It would be good if Ellie killed Abby, then it would justify the revenge & we can get the perfect ending....Abby did a permanent damage to her life, took Joel, who's more than a father for her then Dina & their child also, means her family.... So, if Ellie took that revenge then it would justify her loosing, or else sparing Abby was a bogus desicion! (It's my personal Opinion, so please think about this theory first then reply.)😌

*"Abby had access to a full gym!"* So? A lot more goes into building muscle than just lifting weights and eating protein. You need to factor in rest. Muscle fibers are damaged when you lift weights, then they repair (growing bigger and harder) during REST. Ok she takes rest days. What about when she's lifting heavy obstructions to traverse the world, killing and fighting infected and Scars, and being attacked? This not only uses her muscles but puts a tremendous amount of stress on her body and mind. In the game Owen says that Abby has nightmares and talks in her sleep, which indicates she isn't getting uninterrupted sleep. *"Routine"* The way you lift weights makes a difference. The number of sets and reps, the amount of weight you lift, whether you use dumbbells, barbells or machines - all matter. 10 pounds for 20 reps won't yield the same results as 40 pounds for 8 reps, or 60 pounds for 1 rep. Abby's routine is shown in the game, and here's a picture of it: imgur.com/a/6OR60px Her routine only specifically mentions "weights" on Thursdays of Month 4. That's 4x in 2 months she's lifting. She does yoga "routines" 8x in 2 months. By specifically saying "weights," this indicates that her other exercises (full body, upper body) do not include weights. Show me a bodybuilder or powerlifter who got their muscles and strength by doing primarily bodyweight exercises and yoga, and make sure it's a female. Also, Abby's muscles as a female are intentional (can't speak for men because I'm not one). Women need to want and train for muscles like that; they don't happen from just being active. She would have to do specific routines and have a strict diet to achieve that physique. Dirty bulking (eating a lot of whatever junk food you want) will build muscle but also a lot of fat. When I want to get stronger, I lift heavy, eat more, and have some carbs before I train. When I want to get leaner and have more muscle definition, I lift lighter, don't rest as much between sets, and I lift fasted so I burn more calories. This is all strategic and much more complex than "lift weights, eat protein, get jacked." *"She probably took supplements or steroids!"* Protein powder, fitness supplements, and steroids all expire. They don't last 5 years, let alone the 20+ years that have passed after the outbreak in the game. If the WLF was producing supplements/steroids in a lab, why is Abby the only one with muscles? Generally, men are physically stronger than women. This isn't sexism; this is a fact. Just like women can give birth but men can't. Why would the WLF produce supplements/steroids and give them to 1 woman when a platoon of men could do more for the WLF's cause? One more thing - if Abby were taking steroids, she would also need to do post cycle therapy (taking care of your body after the steroids tear it up). Steroids are harsh on the liver and will affect hormone levels in men and women. As a soldier, Abby would need to be in tip top shape to maximize her performance in combat. Why pump her full of things that will harm her health for something that is more aesthetic than functional? Is the WLF hosting bodybuilding competitions for one person in their spare time? *"The WLF has farms and gardens and stuff! Obviously she's getting enough food!"* All the game shows us is Abby standing in line, just like everyone else, to get a "burrito...again." She scolds Manny for taking an extra burrito, which indicates that food is rationed and people take what they're given, including Abby. Abby is shown in the game to have no control over what and how much she eats. The game simply had to show one scene indicating that Abby ate more food, had some control over what/how much she ate, was consuming more protein than is in a burrito, etc. This wasn't shown. With Naughty Dog's famous attention to detail, you'd think they'd include this in a scene. *"Different women have different body types! Some women have more testosterone than others!"* True. But the only way a woman will have a significant enough amount of testosterone in her body to pack on the muscle is if she's injecting it into her body. You know those she-hulk muscle freak ladies who are the size of Arnold? They've most likely taken testosterone because women don't produce enough naturally to build all that muscle! Don't believe me? Listen to their voices - they sound like men. Men and women are not equal physically. We all have equal value as human beings, but men are generally stronger and larger than women. This isn't sexist. You'll see this in sports - we have men's and women's leagues because it's not fair or equal to have men compete against women. The men would have an advantage. You cannot apply to women what works for men here because our body chemistry is different. Most women are stronger in their legs than their upper bodies, and it's the opposite for men. Women can get pregnant and men can't. These are facts, no matter how much you might dislike them. I can keep going with this but it's long enough. I wrote this because I'm tired of all the misinformation being put out there by people who have no idea what they're talking about. I'm not an expert; I have much more to learn. But I also have a few years of experience building muscle, not from taking Zumba class twice a week, getting my "facts" from fitness memes and talking out my ass. I would even go so far as to say that women have to work harder than men when it comes to putting on size because of our body chemistry. How dare you simplify and downplay all the years of sacrifice and hard work muscular females put in simply because you think building muscle is so easy, especially for a woman. That's pretty sexist if you ask me.

I dont know if this is the case but is there a glitch that keeps you from getting a lot of honor when you do good deeds? I know about the honor cap before chapter 4 but after killing a few people then donating 100 dollars my meter didnt go up much at all! The reason im saying this is because at 0:24 in the video your meter went up a bit where my didnt move much at all.

I would change a few things. I had an idea in my head that Tommy sacrifices himself to save Abby for one reason or another and in turn Abby sacrifices herself to save Ellie but asks for Ellie’s forgiveness. I feel there should be flash back of Tommy and Joel before Jackson. Dina and Ellie frienemies that still love each other. And Ellie should have to meet someone from her past that she never knew she would ever meet, her dad.

It feels like cheating I won't recommend doing it

Thank you for this! I saw some other features in the HUD options such as Awareness Indicators and Dodge Prompts. With those enabled will that effect your Grounded trophy? I didn't get a warning when enabling but I'm scared to continue if it is an issue.
