Dr. Lycett gets it. I was the primary medical POA for my dad before he passed. As an advocate for his wishes, I often had to fight doctors on treatment plans and remind them of his baseline to prevent unnecessary discharge orders. Rarely were his wishes taken seriously. What a gift to hear geriatric care spoken of in this way!

Very interesting and I'm one with the chronic back pain. So this really hits home. I'm going to work on this. My only question is I'm not exactly clear on how exactly to rewire my brain. OK, I'm "empowered." But what do I do? Do I just tell myself over and over "Your back is fine. Your back is fine. Your back is fine." Just not sure on a treatment path for my brain. ***Note: I also want to point out if you're searching for that pdf he mentions around 33:00, the link he provides on screen has changed, now several years later. Or it was incorrect to begin with, don't know. You can find that pdf just by searching BCH and the title of the document. Or, the link now seems to be: ...documents/blogs/Intro-to......

THE BEST explanation of mind/body activity that exists. I’ve already healed from this work and have read and listened to all the best practitioners/coaches, etc that teach this stuff….this is best I’ve ever heard it explained. I wish I’d have saw this when I was doing the work!

One of the worst aspects of the stroke that I was born with that I suffered in utero for me was the anosognosia, which is also known as confusion and denial, in this case it was the fact that when I was 15 going on 16 (just by bad luck, in the year 2010 itself) I noticed that literally all girls my age and literally all women on Earth as well were interested in me. However, I also knew that I have ( however, back then, it was un-diagnosed) what qualifies as un-diagnosed dysarthria, e.g. slurred speech. I knew this because I would listen to recordings of myself from circa 2005 (when I was 10 going on 11, and also when I turned 11, my birthday being November 3, 1994). Also, I knew back then in the year 2010 itself when I was 15 going on 16 that dysarthria e.g. slurred speech is a common symptom of a stroke. So I literally subliminally and subconsciously had a Brobdingnagian suspicion that I had a stroke either prenatal or perinatal in utero, although I didn't know anything about any of that stuff consciously at the time. However, I also literally subliminally and subconsciously knew that it's obviously a bureau of a federal republic more difficult for blondehaired and redhaired men with the effects of any stroke than it is for any blackhaired man and most that's it's obviously more a bureau of the federal republic of the United States of America more difficult for blondehaired and redhaired men with the effects of any stroke than it is for any brownhaired man. So, I was getting into arguments with my dad, (who is actually naturally blondehaired and blue-eyed, but he never had any stroke either before he was born or in his entire life after his birth) saying things which I never literally meant like "all blackhaired men on Earth should die,'' and "all brownhaired men in existence should die,'' because of what I undeviatingly elucidated in the foregoing. So, after all those arguments with dad, he took me to counseling, but then I had a terrible counselor, so then he took me to see a doctor who misdiagnosed (back then) as bipolar, and then put me on medications for literally twelve years that overall I never should have been put on in the first place. However, I got off all that stuff sometime between February 22-27 of this year, and I'm doing a lot better, especially since as well I learned on exactly November 18 of last year, from finally getting an MRI and results of the MRI, that I was born the effects of the stroke that I was born with that I suffered in utero, and I'm overall on an upward trend now and I think my life, as well as how I'll be remembered after my death, (which probably won't be for another 62 years at least, given the fact that life expectancy will literally be a lot higher for both men and women 62 years from now than now) will be august, dignified, regal and literally baronial compared to anyone else who has ever lived in the past, is alive right now, and will ever live in the future for all time and for all eternity.

Thank you, Dr Fanestil! This is the best easily understandable explanation of these ideas I've seen and I've seen a lot. Dr John Sarno was the pioneer, of course, but there have been others since who have modified, expanded upon, his ideas as the new neuroscience has progressed. Lorimer Mosely is great, but takes too long to get to the point. The same with Howard Schubiner, MD. That's what I like about this presentation; it quickly and efficiently outlines all the main ideas and how to proceed in 40 minutes. Great!

While every life is worth saving, I just have to say that when the life of Mercedes Alvarez was saved it was not just any life. Mercedes has worked tireless and with little regard for financial compensation for all of her life to make the world a better place in many ways. She is a smart, kind, vibrant woman and the world is a MUCH better place with her in it.
