He's very highly accomplished ... he also played for Rod Piazza back in the 80s. And I think he was also one of Canned Heat's guitarists at one stage.
Jr. W always makes something great happen when he plays! One of the world's greatest.
I love Junior's guitar playing, especially on the "unusual" guitars. He's killer on a strat too though!

Improv over Pee Wee Crayton medley love it..Texas Hop, Huckleboogie…. I know the “big” sound of his goldtop LP gets that authentic 50’s vibe and all but there’s something special about Junior on a strat ..the nuances of his playing & unique voicings really shine.

sounds wicked i was playing on an acoustic but wish was electric to fufill the sound i wanted but hey gotta use what u got :p i find some chromati licks are quite tasty like major 3rd up to 5th in pentatonic is a nice
I mean, I do some SRV licks here and there, but I like to mix it up some. My main influences are Clapton (I base my tone off of him, when he was with John Mayall), Mick Taylor, Stevie, Buddy Guy, Albert King, Peter Green, b. b. King, Duane Allman, Joe Bonamassa, and others. Since this I've learned many more licks/tricks, so I'm just adding and adding.
