I just found the Martian disc in an old box in the cupboard and came here to see if anyone on CZcams remembered the game. Glad there’s a few play throughs up, such a shame this is abandonware. It’s a solid and fun RTS

I think the pathing AI is a lot less terrible if you select individual units instead of all your forces Edit: I was able to get the game running on my computer. Nope, the pathing AI is still absolutely terrible even if you have a single unit selected.

Any reason not to build repair bays as the first post-command center building on the front? It seems like the constant repairs between attacks while you're developing resources would avoid losses overall and reduce defensive stress.

Man, that Tempest BETTER be worth the effort, cause it's taking forever to come! 💀 Great attack and defense though, mate! Those Lv2 Fighting Machines are really beastly! Like they're Mammoth Tanks from the C&C franchise!

Just gotta say... the British war machine in this game is terrifying. 😨 HOW MANY war vehicles and battleships they produced SO FAST, then just storm you like an army of ants! *Meanwhile, the Martians be taking forever to field them tripods to the battlefield.* 💀

I recently managed to get the game working through a virtual disk drive and abandoneware website and I haven't had so much fun playing an RTS in awhile. As I've been playing I've been watching your walkthroughs to figure out what to do and expect and they have been extremely informational and useful! The bridge tip with Human vehicles has been probably the most helpful tip of all, for both campaigns lol

There's always been a love/disappointment relationship between me and War of the Worlds. - The PC game is incredible as is its unique gameplay, but no one knows it so we won't get a remake and it's not even on GOG. - The musical is of revolutionary quality and brilliantly composed. I'm not short on friends but whenever I mention War of the Worlds, the best I get is "that Tom Cruise movie?" - There's no movie version of Jeff Wayne's musical. We get more than one Sweeny Todd or Les Miserables but Wayne's War of the Worlds keeps getting skipped and the movies we do get don't have the guts to stay loyal to the book. I actually have this ambition that if I ever get filthy rich for some reason, the first thing I'll do is produce a damn good War of the Worlds musical movie because someone needs to do it.

Has anyone got the heart to say the voice over was nicely hawthorns in the game 😂😂

I have noticed that when you build and put peasants to hit the building that is being built it will built faster. More peasant faster it builts! This is very usefull I used it all the time.

if possible could you put the warcraft 2 playlist on chronological order from number 1 to the last episode ? they are very scattered at the moment, thanks :)

Finally got my CD to actually work. Also 3:26 I just imagine this guy didn't fuel his truck and was just panicking as 3 tripods just loomed over behind him.

I honestly think this game is way ahead of its time. It's like a Total War before the Total War, and some features reminds me of Hearts of Iron which is way later. It would be very interesting if there's a remake with today's engine.
