The Problem With Hydrogen Trains...
Hydrogen Trains are commonly promoted by advocates for the environment who want to reduce humanity’s dependence on fossil fuels and our emissions. However there is some question of whether they are a good idea, and if they could actually prove a net negative to our carbon emissions on this planet, and ultimately do more harm than good. We will look at a few examples of Hydrogen trains that are currently in use, and then look at why far fewer have been adopted than some climate advocates would want.

Why Is European Rail So Good?
zhlédnutí 8KPřed rokem
Americans often look at the European passenger rail system with envy, as in comparison with Amtrak, it often seems in a class of its own. But how did it get so good? With a variety of different systems in different EU member states, spanning from national carriers to private low-cost carriers and luxury carriers, there are hundreds of different possibilities. Their system of keeping everything ...
Spain’s NEW Fleet of Unusable Trains…
zhlédnutí 3,3KPřed rokem
Ah the government. The pinnacle of efficiency, the master of spending, surely they are a place to trust to do the right thing, make good decisions, and check their work. That must have been what the Spanish taxpayer thought before their government spent a quarter of a billion euros on trains that didn’t fit their own tunnels. Yes you heard that right, 258M euros, or around 275M USD, was spent p...
Amtrak’s Genius Plan to SAVE American Rail
zhlédnutí 110KPřed rokem
After COVID, it looked like Amtrak was dying. Ridership had crashed, service was degraded, and funding looked bleak as the government prioritized other things. However that may all be about to change, armed with billions in new funding from congressional infrastructure and jobs packages, and a dramatic increase in their annual funding, things are looking up. Ridership rose by 89% in 2022, nearl...
What REALLY Happened in the East Palestine Train Derailment
zhlédnutí 2,3KPřed rokem
On February 3rd, 2023 at approximately 8:55 PM, Norfolk Southern train 32N was passing through East Palestine, Ohio. It was carrying hazardous and highly toxic chemicals. Shortly later 51 train cars came off of the rails, with 49 of them forming what is known as a ‘derailment pile.’ This caught fire and burned for several days, releasing toxic chemicals into the atmosphere and surrounding area....
The Largest Stadium In The World Got ABANDONED…

Sports are a vital part of global life, and attendance has been rising as the sports grow in popularity. China’s High Speed Railroad is a DISASTER…

In the early 2000’s, China had absolutely no high speed rail. Just twenty years later and China has built what is potentially the world's MOST IMPRESSIVE railway network to date, with over 25,000 miles of high speed rail. But, how did they do it so quickly? How good exactly is it? And should other countries follow their model? There are both huge positives and a lot of negatives to the Chinese ...
Amtrak Is Broken...

Amtrak is broken. With crumbling rail infrastructure, lack of investment in new technologies, and decreasing support from the public and politicians, the end may be near for the days of American Rail. Amtrak began from the decline of passenger rail, a quasi-public corporation to take operation of passenger rail in the United States. While technically a private entity, it would receive taxpayer ...

The problem is that Amtrak does not own tracks, and cannot improve them. Current Amtrak trains can run at an average of 110 mph, but a lot of the tracks have a maximum speed of 20 mph or less.

In overall the benefits is way more greater than not having a high speed rail system. They are not that stupid.

Once that happened, theirs is a possibility that Amtraj could electrified other lines even if they *don't own the track, *not that it still Class 1 RR, if Amtrak and state/ local groups get the right odf way from Class 1 RR.

Energy from non.conventional methods too are vividly cost effective! By adopting electric generators to whatsoever Speed transportation upon railways, highways and automobiles and building electricity grids for tapping & distribution of power from various such sources will certainly make success, unique and different!

On CZcams, at least half of the videos about China's high-speed rail are about how to lose money. These people will always focus on whether it is profitable as the main reference point. They will never pay attention to how much the opening of these high-speed rail lines will improve the local people, the local government, and the entire country's economy. The government cannot invest in all public facilities in pursuit of profits, otherwise China will be the next United States.
