    Got to get these kids to show improvements with there technique not the weight, weight will come through there technique.

    • @raymerstrength
      @raymerstrength Před 3 měsíci

      These kids have shown improvement on their technique! And we’re very proud of their progress. Everyone has a different path and should have the opportunity to be celebrated no matter what the victory is for them. Not everyone is going to have “textbook” form. But these kids are not training for world records. And even those individuals who set world records don’t have “textbook” form. We are proud of our kids and the work that they put in day in and day out.

      @JohnnyDropSet Před 2 měsíci

      @@raymerstrength you don’t need to train for world records, you want to train to perform a lift safe. Im only concerned because they are young and it seems they are pulling close to a “max out”. Without yet perfecting form on there deadlift which overtime can really fuck up your back. I get what your saying and I don’t mean any disrespect by it.

    • @raymerstrength
      @raymerstrength Před 2 měsíci

      @@JohnnyDropSet correct! And they do train to perform! And it’s also ok to lift at maximal loads when under proper supervision. All of our athletes have been taught how to properly identify when and how to bail out of a lift. Age is not a factor for how “heavy” a person can or cannot lift. There are many young kids who train heavy. And research actually shows that heavy strength training is beneficial during pre-puberty and puberty.

    • @JohnnyDropSet
      @JohnnyDropSet Před 2 měsíci

      @@raymerstrength fair enough didn’t mean to make it an argument, but argumentatively there form could be perfected at there age at a higher level. And I’m sure you know that as much as I do considering lifting heavy at a pre-puberty to puberty stages are indeed beneficial. I don’t mean to make enemies, I just care a lot about the younger generation of athletes/lifters

    • @raymerstrength
      @raymerstrength Před 2 měsíci

      @@JohnnyDropSet yes, form can always be improved. And we will never only post our athletes who are “perfect”. Everyone is on their own journey and we love to show growth. No one sees the hundreds and thousands of reps that don’t get posted. And no one knows how far an individual has come to accomplish a small improvement. So we show imperfect things as well as highly proficient.

    Those DB thrusters looked rough. Keep your chest up people. You don't lean that far over when you squat normally do you?

    • @raymerstrength
      @raymerstrength Před 3 měsíci

      This was at the end of the session and there is always an acceptable amount of latitude based on the individuals ability. Everyone was safe and coached appropriately for their ability levels. At the end of the day, everyone got better and made improvements.

    • @MrBigburke22
      @MrBigburke22 Před 3 měsíci

      @@raymerstrength they don't even have the ankle or hip mobility to get a full squat in yet you're saying this is an acceptable amount of latitude? I'm in the twilight zone

    • @raymerstrength
      @raymerstrength Před 3 měsíci

      @@MrBigburke22 you’re making a lot of assumptions. You’re making the assumption that we’re looking for a “traditional” ROM for a thruster. You’re assuming we’re not aware of mobility issues. And these are just snippets of multiple training sessions. These videos by no means give the full context to what our training program offers. The point of the video is to highlight hard work of those who show up and put forth the effort. Individuals can make progress in many different ways. And not everything has to be “textbook”. There is a time and place for everything.

    I am confused regarding stride length, yes I can see that increasing it can increase the speed, but others aruge for a shorter and faster stride length to help avoid injury. Does using a long stride length really increase the risk of injury or is it more about how you do it?

    • @jeremyraymerTKD
      @jeremyraymerTKD Před rokem

      In this video, we have athletes that are different heights. So we took an average stride length by eyeballing it. In this particular drill the stride length is progressively getting longer. Which is what you’ll see if you watch high-level sprinters. In regards to causing injury. That is usually a possibility only if the individual is over striding beyond what their body should. And that still only occurs if it’s done repeatedly over time. So there is nuance to stride length. And it needs to be taught correctly by someone who has training. Hopefully this was a beneficial explanation.

    Am I the only one to feel like it is easier than the assault bike? I have tried both and Rogue's one, although more robust, is easier to manipulate (needs less strength, more cardio).

    • @raymerstrength
      @raymerstrength Před 4 lety

      I have found that the longer the blade on the bike, the more difficult it is. I have been on both the Echo Bike and AirDyne and both have similar blades and equally suck. I have not been on an assault bike, so I cannot give an honest opinion on that one.
