I’d actually retool this into a useful item. The wand automatically activates, and stops spellcasting, but only if the spell is cast with a big monologue or buildup. Random fireball in the middle of a fight? It can’t counter that. Big bad giving a speech as he’s about to invoke an ancient ritual? Right at the climactic moment, he just stands there, awkwardly.

How to calculate such a 'random direction': 1d4 = 1 Northeast, 2 Southeast, 3 Southwest, 4 Northwest Then roll 2d20 separately. The first one marks the spaces north/south, the second marks the spaces east/west. Then just go the amount of spaces in the direction specified. If the space is occupied by a wall or entity, reroll the die, unless all possible 20 spaces are occupied by walls or entities. Then you reroll the other die

If the coin only teleports you to the ground, it could be very useful on ships. Just have a small garden on board, and be sure everyone has one of these coins. If they fall overboard, flip the coin and you have a 50% chance to be teleported back on board on top of the garden or onto an island if there was one nearby. Either way, safety. If the coin only need to be recharged after a teleportation, then you basically have a 100% chance to be teleported to safety as long as you don't drop the coin in the water.

Love the idea but it feels like I’m watching an extravagant performer more than a person. Maybe a little less of the extreme vocals and movements would be less distracting from what you’re actually saying?

I like this. But I also like a ten percent chance on tails to just be teleported into the sky.

Hmm actually still kind of useful even knowing the down side.. Means they can get someone back up in a pinch to save them from a potentially deadly situation.. and if they know the damage will come back later at a random point in the next day or so they just need to plan for it. So actually still very useful, sure your just putting the damage off till later but if you know it's coming back you can get yourself out of danger and then go somewhere safe, wait for the damage to come back and just recover like normal.

We can use this to get away from a situation where the team is surrounded, how do I know, this happened to my party but we didn’t have the coin :>

Of course, once they work it out they'll give them to the party barbarian… and I think that's fine, actually. Powerful effect, strong downside, mitigable with planning after the players figure it out (or use Identify) but not entirely avoidable if they want the benefit. Besides, after three uses the bracers will have to go to someone else.

I think having the sword be able to make witty remarks during regular gameplay, controlled by the dm would be very fun. Could be treated as almost an npc.

Imagine your party fighting the dungeon boss, who has a couple hp's left, most of the party is down bar the ranger who just used their last arrow. All seems lost when the party look up to see the ranger hurriedly yanking the quiver off their back and, positively giddy, begins hurling endless amounts of sporks at the enemy in a final hail mary 😂

I k ow this is meant to, be a useless item but I had a chara ter who would exclusively fight with sports that they'd sharpened

Just to tweak the item to be viable; when you run out of arrows, you get elongated spark like arrows that do reduced damage. they are endless and have a chance to do no damage to begin with.
