OUR FIRST VACATION | CHUUK to GUAM to MANILA
Sharing our family's first vacation from Chuuk to Guam and then to the Philippines, after almost six years. 🥹 I went to Chuuk alone and single, but now I'm returning with a husband and a baby. It's also the first time my family will meet them. Although I didn't record it because I was too excited to hug them and we just soaked in the moment.

We had the opportunity to tour the US Naval Hospital Ship Mercy TAH-19 when it arrived in Chuuk for the Pacific Partnership 2024. The USNS Mercy (T-AH-19) serves as the flagship of its class of hospital ships. Her sister ship is USNS Comfort (T-AH-20). She is the third US Navy ship to be named for the virtue Mercy. Its tradition in our cultural to ring in the new year with a big bang! Thats why we make so much noise. Im frm the outer islands & on my island we walk around the village & even to other villages banging pots, pans & buckets cheering & chanting happy new years. We believe if we dnt welcome the new year then it will not be a fortunate year for us & the whole year will just be a mess....
