So one of the major concerns for the Ford F150 series is rust developing on the bed rails and frame itself. I always check the bed rails and frame before buying any truck. If the bed rails are rusted out you have to remove the bed,then use a heating torch to cut the spot welds off the bed and remove the old rails. To remove the old rails,then weld new rails back on and bolt them in is a huge job. You’re talking 3,000 to 5,000 dollars at the mechanic shop. A little surface rust isn’t a huge concern on the frame,but if you can take a ball pean hammer to it and knock chunks of rust off than it’s not safe to put on a lift. The 4.6 liter and 5.4liter triton motors are good reliable motors,both the Single overhead cam and Dual camshaft are screamers. You really can’t go wrong with either one.

My 07 5.4L is clocking in at 182k miles right now. Have to say it’s been dead reliable. Appreciate these videos on these F-150s! Did spark plugs, engine coolant flush, transmission pan drop, axle fluid… well worth it with the price of new ones!

I’ve got an 05’ and have had this fan for about 5 years now. Does your temp probe work well? After replacing mine twice because it always seemed to not trigger the fans, I ended up buying flex a lites upgraded in line probe that you install in the radiator tube (top one obviously). It’s worked since then.

Iv got a 24 HL 850. Just watched your video on the pipe tune and clutch kit. Would you say it’s worth it? Got a couple buddies with outlander 850s and my Polaris can keep up to them pretty darn good which throttles them. Hoping if I do a couple things that help me get them off the line I can smoke them

04 Lariat 2WD crew cab here. I inherited the truck from my stepdad. I did change the original factory plugs at 75K. Of course I bought the extractor tool. Not a fun job! Had to put a brand new exhaust system on it a couple years ago. It does have a Flowmaster 40 series muffler on it. Sounds amazing. Got me the Diablo sport tune. WOW!!! Bought me some factory 2021 Ford pulloffs 20" wheels and tires for 1K. Factory replacement K&N air filter. Truck runs like a bat outta hell now. Currently has 99,000 on her. No ticks...knocks bumps or rattles.

So how’s the fan been running?

Or you could just take the heads off and have the oil holes drilled out better and bigger.😂

I have a 2004 F150 Lariat. Could not program based on your instructions. Instead, had to have drivers door open then use your same intructions.

I just bought 04 , 5.4 has 160,miles I really love the truck. I'm getting strange vibrations when slowly excelerating or turnin.,

I have a 2004 FX4 and it's rated at 330 HP @5,000 rpm's, I'm pretty sure.

I’ve got the 5.43 valve. My trick is add one whole can of high mileage seafoam to the crank case in one can to the gas tank sitting at about a quarter of a tank run through fill it back up drive about 100 200 miles, every single oil change in it seems to do what seafoam holds up to do

Hi nice to meet you man! I have Polaris sportsman 570 2021 . He has 170 hours on the engine. I use it on trails and a lot of use the last 50 hours in water in rivers and in huge mud and water! Not so much slot plus water. The original strap has now broken in 170 hours. I put on 29s tires 15 hours ago.. maybe 12 hours of walking with the new huge tires. I think the strap has broken because it is already 170 hours old and it is the original. Lately a lot of water has entered the clutch and I had to remove the plug or sometimes put in the water it is limited it does not move the tires and I accelerate it and that white smoke comes out. What do you recommend I put the original strap or I’m going for one like yours should be more expensive but it’s stronger? What do you recommend to me? I don’t know if I put a clutch kit yet, maybe I’ll do it later. Now I need to change my broken strap, I don’t know if I should go for the original one or what does it look better than you say? Please, thank you

I have a 2010 5.4 with 216,000 miles. It runs good when cold then idles rough after gets hot. Here in South Texas in Summer it takes less than 10 minutes yo get hot. In Winter it runs great. Any suggestions?

This guy does not know what he is talking about do not take this advice. Thicker oil lubricates much better BUT the engine was not designed for it. The oil pump already sucks as is it can barely move around enough oil to keep things lubricated so thicker oil is going to make this problem worse and the clearances in this engine are very tight which means oil has to go into small spaces and thinner oil does this better. This engine has problems with not enough oil going to the cam shaft bearings and thicker oil is going to make the problem much worse.

My F250 5.4 is about to turn 400k and runs like a top and I’ve never changed anything other than regular maintenance stuff and I always run 10/30 Penzoil an runs fine

I’m scared lol buying a 2005 F150 with the 5.4 for $1000. New trans, new suspension, just got 223k miles on it. Tested it and it needs a new alternator. People got me paranoid about that motor. All I wanna do is go 7 miles to work and 7 miles home every day. And MAYBE chop the muffler off lol.

Great videos. So I changed the plugs on 07 xlt with not much trouble. #4 was a complete burnout. #5 would come almost all the way out but seemed to just spin in the cylinder head, so I just screwed it back in. What would you suggest as a way to remove that plug? Thank you in advance.

I got a 2008 with 29,000k just got it but plan on changing it every 3k just to be on the safe side
