Hot Breakfast For Harvard
zhlédnutí 7KPřed 14 lety
The Harvard administration eliminated hot breakfasts for Harvard students, and the situation was desperate. These kids needed an angel... and they got several. Brought to you by The Princeton Tiger Magazine, online at tigermag.com
"We already have enough Indians" is the part that got me 🤣 (As an Indian myself)
it's been 12 years and this is exactly how we imagine them... still
outstanding truth
IT WAS HILARIOUS, THANKS
You mean to tell me this isn’t what actually happens?? To be honest tho I wouldn’t be that upset if the admission officer ate my paper because of how frustrated he is. I procrastinated for TWO MONTHS and I have yet to write THREE ESSAYS and yet I am here. Me being an international student is not helping my case
Looks about right to me.
Soo trueee
unironically true
wheres the lie
"thats why I wanna go to - AMHERST?" "... no yeah that's actually a good school"
HILLARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH
lol that's so funny
Oh nooo when he threw the papers out the window 😂
This is exactly how i picture colleges looking at my application....
AFFIRMATIVE ACTIOONNNNNN
The part when he threw the papers out the window claiming there are too many of them is exactly what im worried about LOL
You lowkey right tho a h h h
this is so white
I've just made a video on my channel about dealing with rejection, I hope it can help some of you!
Hey, what is the video called? I can’t find it on your channel.
Accurate
As a high school junior beginning to look at colleges, these are my biggest nightmares, and shedding some comedic light on them is what makes this video absolute gold. I'll definitely be watching about fifty more times.
I'm crying. This is golden 😂
Affirmative action!!!!! LOL I died when I saw that.
I'm now afraid of applying 😂😂😂😂
Yoooo 0:25 "SAT cut off. GPA cut off" literally scared the shiz out of me
lmao that Asian SAT cutoff though :/
what about this isn't true??
I think I just died from choking on my saliva, kept watching the video, and died again. xD Seriously, this is amazing!
The architecture at almost all Ivy League schools (and therefore WashU) is called "Collegiate Gothic" but it does look a lot like Brookings Hall. No flags tho and we have flags. Also, from this angle, there would be a clockface on the middle span.
HAHAHAHAHA "ASIAN SAT CUTOFF"
Affirmative Action. XD
lol this is hilarious
"We already have enough Indians" :'D
I thought he said "medians", lol
that's literally my biggest fear
17 people are from Harvard!
transferring-- lol.
lol noooooooooooooo
It's funny because this is how it actually happens. Like the guy before me said, they aren't reading the 30,000 applications (at Princeton) and then deciding. Scores need to be at a minimum threshold to be considered further. I'm a high school senior and I have naviance, so I can see graphs with accepted/rejected students GPA's/SATs, and let me tell you, for Princeton it isn't pretty. I applied for the heck of it with a 95.27 GPA, but the accepted average from my school is 97.48. I know it's a reach, but I've worked towards it for years, so why not try.
+robicano123 95.72 gpa? what scale is that on
+Ryan Kosta 100
+Logan Retamoza K
Here I am with a 94.96 9th/10th grade GPA hoping that my 4th place speaker award at the NYS Debate Championships, rec letters from the two teachers who love me most, sob story personal statement, and inexplicable acceptance to Questbridge College Prep Scholars will impress the admissions committee at an Ivy League university 😂😂😂😂😂 kill me now
lmao ur gpa is high as shit, I worked my absolute a** off and only have a 4.00 gpa at my high school, and here you are with a 95.27 gpa, 91.27 gpa's higher than mine.
I love this!
"we brought quiche to that shit" hahahah favorite line ever.
The guy from 2:13 looks a lot like Atticus from To Kill a Mockingbird. lol
yup pretty much
I didn't use to think that was how the process goes... *goes to cry* I'M GONNA BE A FAILURE!!!! U.U
Actually, Katie, those don't exist anymore. "Quota systems used by universities for student admissions have been a controversial legal topic, which critics have claimed result in reverse discrimination. Such racial quota systems have been declared unconstitutional." However, one's racial/ethnic background can indeed affect one's admission, seeing as most colleges want to create the most diverse, well-rounded student body possible. All the better for learning! :)
"we bought quiche for that shit!" "i love quiche..."
ok but i do feel like most of this is true, at least for big top schools like ivys
schools have a quota they have to meet. (race, gender, sexual preference, family income, people with scholarships, etc.) so when a school says they have enough women or indians or middle class persons, they really mean that and the extra people tend to get rejected. not because they aren't good enough or the school doesn't like them, but because the govt says so.
lmao@!@!
haha, it does feel like this!
funny!
You mean... that's not how it works?
"WHY DONT YOU JUST DRIVE INTO A WAAAAAALL" omfg
