Curious. Are you on Twitter/X or Threads at all? I have planned on making my second ever trip to Chicago. The first time was a 3 day trip for Chicago Marathon. Fly in, Ran, Fly out. I normally go to Las Vegas 3 to 4 times a year for a 4 day trip. It's time to move around to somewhere else. I thought about Detroit but heard some bad reviews. So I figured Chi town I have a room for ACME hotel for my entire stay. If i was thinking of making Chi town my next Vegas would you move the hotel to something branded like Trump, Sheraton etc etc or just get the cheapest in that location etc?

We love the Silver Lake dunes - SO much fun! Mac Woods is so fun for families and kids. Another great spot for families that's not too far is Lewis Adventures and a trip to the Country Dairy Farm (store) - they have food but the best ice cream, some farm animals and a small play area for kids!

Hey Family. Sorry we are just getting back home. Catching up now. Being under the weather while vacationing or returning home sick can literally have the days seem like a blur. I had to visit the ER the day after we made it home. The Flu for the first time smh. Glad you guys were able to get out after resting. The views from the top, so awesome. We noticed how sometimes it can be overrated visiting the largest building in the city. The price, the wait time makes it less appealing at times. Were the kids excited for all the light shows. Being that we live in Hawaii our kiddos love city lights when we can visit large cities. I hope baby girl felt better once you guys made it home.

Good for solo travelers? I've been to Chicago once in 2017 as I ran the Chicago marathon. 3 day trip. How do you feel about staying at The Freehand to save a bit of money vs this? If you stay at Freehand would be the 1 room not the hostel part.

I stayed there, place was a shit hole. That black bun burger tasted like frozen poorly prepared burger king, fries were frozen, liquor overpriced. Wasn't impressed. View of lake reminds me of how much of a shithole we have made this part of the beautiful lake. I'll never vote for this shit ever in my life, you would have to cut my fingers off.
