Amazing details, even though this Y-Wing is a stripped down and heavily modified version of The Clone Wars Y-Wing, you should put all the clone wars paneling, bubble turret, and cockpit on the Y-Wing so it’ll be the stock version which will make it as The Clone Wars version of the Y-Wing model which is pretty cool to do.

Anyone have a source for 1:48 scale junk? Cigarette butts, beer cans, Soviet-era graffitti decals, biohazard signs with cyrillic characters and Chernobyl hazmat suits? (The bright white ones with yellow ties at the wrist, ankles and around the facemask). I already have some rusty corrugated metal, concertina wire crumbling concrete and a two-headed peasant/farmer woman. This is going to be the bitchin'-est "Abandoned MiG-17 in the Forest" diorama evAr...

Tank you thank you thank you for showing the actual paints you use. This give us ‘tyros’ a good baseline on which to start from, and allows experimentation from a ’known’ point. Now, if you could give us dilution and mix ratios, and airbrush PSI, it would be golden. Love your videos.

I'm at the point I want some more realism when I display finished models both 1/72 & 1/48. In searching airstrips as a possibility I came across your video and said to myself this is what I'm looking for. Small footprint (as I don't really have the room I would like) and pretty straight forward construction other than not having all the materials but Christmas is just around the corner. As a newcomer I would find it most useful if you would include a list of materials used. Well time to go visit Mr. Google and see what I can find, fortunately the video itself shows quite a few of the products and I will watch it several more times before delving into the actual construction. Thanks for posting.

I've been modeling for exactly 40 years and have only ever used this method to repair the molded detail I sand off when preparing for paint. I just finished fully riveting a 1/72 E2-c and the difference is surprisingly worth the effort. I jacked up several lines due to the trumpeter tool being a piece, but it's still 100x more interesting than without. Planning out the approach is key. For example, having to manipulate a built tail with a bunch of 90 degree angles is much harder than running the tool over the part flat on the bench. Also, nothing wrong with waiting to do this process until right before paint. If you shoot a layer of surfacer, a coat of paint and 2 coats of clear before any weathering, the tiny dits are likely tot be filled. If you do it after the surfacer, right before painting, you won't have to go over everything again like I did..
