I took a trip down Memory Lane for the last day of the 2023 Maine Muzzleloader season. Eben has shifted his focus to ski racing, so I was solo. I hope you enjoy it! I'm still working on capturing the story.

Yes. We have a camp just out of Rockwood we have been hunting out of for the last three seasons. It is nice country.
Iam in maine also i have found 1 brown and 1 older 1 i believe from same bull. Left my wife at truck the other day while my son and i went up the mountain she found 2 within sight of truck and we struck out.
Payton and I ( Earl ) have been out we got a few and only one fresh one yesterday.

Thanks for the video, very cool encounter with the lynx! I feel like we may have crossed paths up in the 'burg at some point over the years.
That's entirely possible. We have spent a lot of time hunting up that way during the early and late season.
awesome hunt! why did you call him Lynx buck?
The area I shot him in was covered in Lynx tracks. On the drag out, their tracks kept crossing the winter road just in front of me. I was a family of three. The next day, I took my son Eben back in there, and we saw them three times during the day, the first being on the gut pile. At the very end of the video, there is a short clip of them. Always fun to go back and hunt a 3:25 place from your past. You’re right how time does fly by and you shouldn’t take hunting for granted. Not only does time fly, but you never know what life will throw your way to prevent you from ever going again.
