Petrified Forest National Park

Last fall on our way home to California from Iowa on Highway 40, we drove through the Petrified Forest National Park. We didn't have a lot of time, so we just did the drive and stopped at all of the overlooks. I visited Preston Castle in the Northern California Sierra foothills in 2019. It was founded in 1894 as a reform school for boys and was in use until 1960.
