In standalone VR you will have better graphics in games for which the developers made a graphics update for Quest 3. On PCVR you will have better visuals mainly because of the pancake lenses. And if you play VRChat you can use upper body tracking just through Virtual Desktop without the need for other physical trakers. It's true that the Pico 4 is a good headset if you mainly use it for PCVR, especially for its price. And with that Graphic card you can play the majority of VR games.

QuestCraft is a big one for me. They have to fix some lagging issues and improve the render distance but otherwise, i like it.

I have never been a huge fan of Minecraft. But I'm pretty sure this game will stay alive in some shape or form even when we achieve full-dive gaming experiences.

Well, it released end of last year, but since it looks to be taking off this year I'll still say Resonite :D

I think I heard something about trying to transplant a head to another body. But from what I know the monkey on which this was done didn't survive long( a couple of days if I remember right). As for the procedure being approved for human trials I don't think we are there at the moment.

For now, the best I can do is stalk Elon and Gabe on the internet. But one day it will happen.

It depends on how optimistic you want to be. With the speed of technology and AI is advancing recently which will only grow faster, I will like to hope that we will se something at least close in 15-20 years at the latest.

If that really happens I will most likely settle on fishing every day like that old man in SAO. Or open a pet and mount shop :))

I understand that the technology behind the Nevegear is different compared with the approaches we are currently trying. But the end result remains to obtain a full dive experience. I think we have a better chance with BCIs and Nanobots, as long as someone similar to Kayaba Akihiko doesn't appear in real life.

I just watched some videos about spatial app. I'm pretty sure this kind of apps are only good now to show us what can be done on the device. In the future when Meta changes the UI to not seem like it loses to Apple, these functions will be integrated natively, and these applications will become useless.

I don't think it will be that long. AI is improving at an unimaginable rate compared with a couple of years ago. And the moment when we develop something even close to AGI or is able to pursue a solution without human intervention until it finds the correct answer, all the estimations we can make today will become outdated.

Most likely the first breakthrough of BCIs towards full dive will be during the periods when we are naturally asleep and they can take advantage of that stage of rem sleep. After that, it will take some more time until they figure out a way to induce the Rem sleep whenever we want. A headset may appear even later. Because for a non-invasive device to do the same things as an invasive one, Its technology needs to be more advanced.

I just saw today a vlog from the first Neuralink patient in which he presented the app that helps him play games using the BCI. He is pioneering the way towards our dreams🤣.

I will like to try it, but sadly I don't have a PS5. Maybe when it comes to PC I will consider buying one.

I respect your opinion, but as you can probably tell from the content on this channel, I don't share it. There are infinite ways we can destroy ourselves as a species. Full Dive VR can be a double-edged sword, but I still want to experience it and hope it will bring more good than bad things.

I mainly watch English-speaking content creators and can tell the difference between their fluidity and how rigid my speech sounds. As long as it is expresed in a polite way feedback no matter if it is positive or negative is welcomed on this channel.

Thanks for sharing your story. Sometimes, as a PC gamer who discovered VR later, I tend to forget the people who will get hooked by a VR experience and only after that will go down the rabbit hole of trying to obtain more immersion.

Now that you mention it. I never thought of this problem. Even if the procedure becomes faster and safer because of devices like the one that implants the neurolink. We still need to consider the monetary and physical cost of doing this procedure as often as once every 2 - 3 years and how easy or hard it will be to replace the outdated parts without damaging the brain. I can't think of a solution, so I will just hope that people smarter than me will find a reliable way.

@@NokutoVR Elon Musk has aknowledged this issue in an interview, and is aiming to develope the neuralink in a way that will make replacing it as easy and safe as possible.

@@silver17yearsago66 Let's hope he manages to find it, but even if the neurolink will be modular with a "dock" of some kind that can stay in your head permanently and and an upgradable part that can get extracted easily, there will still come a time when you will need to replace the "dock" itself. But hopefully it will be at a longer interval like 10-15 years.

I'm confident that VR/AR will become a part of our daily lives at some point, the same way computers and smartphones did. The devices just need some time to become lighter, cheaper and with a better UI.

I respect your opinion. In my view, we all use avatars to interact with others in VR. So using one as an extension in order to create more engaging videos seemed like a natural thing to me.

The one where I played Gorilla Tag, hit the corner of my wardrobe and almost broke my hand. It was amazing

​@@wheatysheep3099 A limited space is indeed one of the most immersion-breaking problems for VR. When I don't have a lot of space I prefer to keep my knee touching a sofa or a bed. This way, at the price of less immersion, I can constantly make sure that I'm not leaving my play spot. At home, I recommend getting a small doormat or carpet on witch you can play being barefoot. This way is less likely for you to get out of the play space.

I never thought about the possibility of reliving memories to see an alternative choice. You have big dreams, but it may be interesting if it proves to be possible. At the same time, it may bring a new wave of depressed people if the alternative outcome predicted by VR turns up to be much better the the reality the person chose.

@@NokutoVR i personally think most people will get over it, most of us do have boring lives and jobs, fdvr will bring way more happiness to people than sorrow, you could have experiences you cannot irl, live out all your fantasies, in some aspects it will be better than real life, il turn off sunburns, getting tired and getting sweaty and dirty in the fdvr sim, being clean 24/7 something impossible made possible since we are more or less god in these fdvr simulations.

Thinking more about this, you are right. Most people will get over it. Because the majority of people who normally enter depression in similar situations, this time will choose to completely give up on reality and will satisfy all their wishes in that world.

​@@NokutoVR im a month late but yes exactly, depressed people will get all their wishes come true in fdvr, people will not care that it's all fake when it feels real, and also you could do stuff thats not possible, magic, shapeshifting, defying logic etc, you have people paying for skins in various current games, it's not real but people obviously get some joy from it.
