Terrific review! Just what I was looking for to learn "what makes it tic". Thanks!
looks like the 24 hour dial is just off a bit on all of them. I thought mine was but looks zeroed out in the same position.
We had a non-production sample and did not notice any alignment issues (and we always look at QC). The only mainstream brand in our purview that ships watches out with consistent misalignment issues is Seiko
@@PROWATCHES yeah, it seems to be ok. Like it zeroes out well enough.
Thanks so much for this video! Awesome to learn about the 400 movement 🙏
How big is your wrist?
I simply enjoy winding my watch. It’s like a connection to it. Would you recommend not winding the watch unless it’s fully stopped? Or is it completely okay to hand wind every other day or so? I’ve definitely heard both sides of the argument so I’m still unsure. LOL Thanks in advance.
That blue sapphire bezel seems like it has a light 💡 inside it😅
200 meters of water resistance.
Yep, 200 meters
Futuristic and iconic ❤️
Does this watch has world time?
It does, but it’ll only display in the tiny screen on the bottom right. The hands don’t move to match it
Scurge of arm hair
Thank you for this really well done and explanatory video! I would like to ask you what you think of the solidarity of the 400 caliber movement from bumps or barrels and how much its maintenance can cost (complete overhaul after 10 years). Congratulations! Marco
Immediately subscribed , this the kind of review we miss RN
Lift angle ?
Could u pls share link for that mod?
It's not a mod. professionalwatches.com/review-g-shock-gm2100-metal-covered-casioak/
Does the fact that this watch isn't COSC matter?
No, but COSC certified is more accurate
Slowest reveal ever. Cool watch
Appears a bit difficult to tell time
Excellent model and very detailed explanation. It is amazing that the luxury watch brands charge thousands of dollars for a a simple mechanism in the age of information.
Thanks for watching!
I just received it today and it looks great. I love the Oceanus product line and this is my 3rd one. Compared to my ocw-s100 and ocw-g2000 this one is much slimmer. The finishing, as the other ones, is amazing. I expect the quality to be the same as my other Oceanus, so far those are keeping the time spot on. Will check back again in a year or so. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for sharing!
WOW ! Most excellent and informative review. Aquis 400 caliber is on my short list. Thank You.
Glad it was helpful!
Hamhe Chaye ok
Is the whole watch metal or just the crown and back? And the body is plastic with chrome/steenless paint?
it's all metal, including the strap buckle
@@chinstrappengin thanks for the reply. That’s good to know. Coz some casio digital watches look metal but it’s just chrome or gold plated.
The GM2100 series features a robust stainless steel construction, with a circular brushed finish (Casio refers to this as a hairline finish) on the top of the bezel, and polished (mirror) surfaces on the sides of the bezel, the case middle, and the lugs - which are all part of the monoblock forged bezel construction. The forged case is mounted on top of a shock-absorbing glass fiber-reinforced resin inner case for maximum shock resistance. This combination of reflective and matte surfaces makes the watch pop in photos - and most importantly on the wrist. professionalwatches.com/review-g-shock-gm2100-metal-covered-casioak/
Great watch just bought one a couple of a couple days ago also have the brown face model.
Bought it at launch. Wonderful watch. That hairbrushed silver dial is something else.
Is that silver or the black one?
That’s pretty darn impressive.
One of my friends has two Seiko 5 watches, one of them he bought 50 years ago when he got married and has used daily. He was told it was "a watch for life" but didn't believe the salesman. He maintains properties and despite falling off a roof twice and injuring himself seriously - his daily Seiko has never needed a service. He has now got concerned that since the second fall where he landed on the left arm, - it loses 2 minutes per week. About 17 seconds a day!! That's what I call reliable.
Nice nife & watch 😅
is the l2l really only 46,5mm?
Yes, 46.5 mm lug-to-lug
@@PROWATCHES thank you! 👍🙂
This is gonna be my next G-Shock watch
It's a lot of watch for a relatively low price
@@PROWATCHES is it not great? Could you recommended one model?
@@Patrickmax007 he meant it's great
Thanks a lot for the in depth review. 10 minutes..well spent
Glad you liked it
Hi! Is It normal for this movement to make a subtle kinda bearing sound when the rotor spins?
yes
That's a really cool quilted wallhanging.
Dang that’s super friggen cool how much are they
I have one you can buy $170
$200
I have 2 of these watch models. One watch is - 1 second per day. The other is -15 seconds a day. Drives me mad. But like you said, it is an easy adjustment.
still available?
Just ordered the Poly chromatic GM-B2100PC-1AJF version from Japan for 420. Prices are starting to come down a little but the Titanium versions seem to be increasing in price.
It's not available in titanium currently
Just got this exact one today, it’s beautiful
I think the Casio Oceanus is a real “ sleeper “ timepiece that does not get the love or respect it deserves . I have two lower priced Oceanus watches and look at the Manta as my next premium purchase . It would be very nice if I could visit a brick and mortar store to actually see and touch the product . Great video !
It is a real "sleeper!" There are 7 US Stores currently carrying Oceanus, 5 with physical locations: www.casio.com/us/watches/oceanus/store/
Would be interesting to do a technical breakdown on the updated caliber 400 that shows how they resolved the jumping minute hand issue. Revised caliber is 400-2
We're unaware of any fixes and Oris has not communicated any such information to Professional Watches
I'm sure you can get your hands on an example. I think they also made the rotor a little heavier. You might be able to find a few differences with your eagle eyes if you break it down I'm sure!
Beautiful scenery and an awesome watch! What more could anyone ask for?
Thank you, it was a beautiful day!
How to adjust time..
u can choose time zones
How does altimetre work
The altimeter determines the altitude at your current location based on accumulated atmospheric pressure changes measured by the pressure sensor. Setting the altimeter at a location where you know the precise altitude before starting your ascent enables it to take even more precise altitude measurements
Just got my first watch, a SRPK07K1, about a week ago, and it's perfect. Off by +2 to +5 seconds a day, and perfectly aligned bezel. Very interesting to hear some insights about the movement inside. While I hope it lasts for a long time, I think these should be relatively cheap to service or even replace altogether also.
Very nice!
This looks amazing!
Agree!
❤🌹❤🤲👍
Thanks for the review! Have been waiting for a review of this specific model - I find it especially beautiful! The crown is used to switch between chronograph and second time zone function of the subdial. Once set to chronograph function, the chronograph is directly started by the buttons - no need to pull and turn the crown anymore. If full flexibility is required to switch quickly between the two functions then the new T6000 is better as it has a third button which provides the quick switch between the two functions 🙂
Thank you for providing this detail and glad to hear your like this model!
