    • @ChromeFlakes
      @ChromeFlakes Před 14 dny

      @@elvistorrejon8875people who want to sell the genuine Honda oil may say this. 😅 If it damaged your gearbox there would be class action lawsuits for gearbox replacements. The fact remains Honda are not an oil company. Often the company that makes oil for them, also makes it for other manufacturers and companies. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the exact same oil as the “genuine” Honda oil.

      No need to. The only cable you unplug is for the footwell light which isn’t activated on the base model anyway. 😂 I also have a 2022 model 3. The procedure is the same; it is just a bit easier to take the cover off the filter housing.

    • @KARALISinc
      @KARALISinc Před 4 měsíci

      maybe not all oil was drained, eg some old oil is left in the filter. actually gearbox expands on hot engine so its better to fill as much as was drained

    • @hassymiia6267
      @hassymiia6267 Před 4 měsíci

      @@KARALISinc when they drained it was there watching the whole thing only like a Quarter of a litre came out of it literally nothing was in there. cowboy mechanics didnt clean the hole well with something I see people use some sort of sprays on YT, also seen opening the filling hole socket and lowering the car back down helps get rid any remaining old oil inside the gearbox. The oil that which came out looked not bad extremely dark or completely gone so the new oil shouldn’t be be effected as much mixing with the old oil (if any little amount was lift inside). What bothers me, I saw on a toyota forum that 2.5litre it is needed for the gearbox oil change on my car model, but they said its 2litre they presume things general or what cause all cars not same. the cowboy mechanic supposedly filled 2litre with a fluid extraction filling syringe kit vacuum pump which makes it easier to pour it in that tight space, I saw his last pump he didnt get it in the hole maybe properly and it fall around the edge hence it was dripping out down a little and mechanic said its full. But he was pouring and pumping the oil in too fast maybe it wasnt given time to settle in hence it dripped down little amount. Whatever the case I certainly wasn’t 2litre let alone 2.5. It was more like 1.7-1.9 was filled up so it’s well short. But luckily I seen how the process works and done and it’s not rocket science so, ordered myself 24mm socket spanner, got couple of car jacks in the garage in my backyard, so am gonna try fill another 0.5litre myself and see how it behaves. Then I’ll update :)

      No issues with it getting hot. I used the same charger and charged off a standard 3 pin socket (2kWh) on a 40°C day and it stopped charging for a bit as it decided it was too warm. So it does thermally manage itself. I’ve never had it switch off or get too hot when pulling 7kWh which it has does almost every night for the past 2 years.
