The High Republic didn't do well with fans because the authors didn't understand that Star Wars is supposed to be fast and exciting. The first novel didn't get to anything exciting until 7 pages in. That's called Slow and Plodding.

I don’t think it’s spoiled it. My theory is that one of the twins is killing the Jedi (Mae) who ends up becoming more powerful enough to wield the red lightsaber. The one stand out to me is the purple cloak that’s been shown since trailer one. It’s the same colour cloak as these “witches” who are possessing Jedi. Hence why we see that Wookie Jedi attacking Sol in a flashback.

Honestly with the exception of the lightsaber whip, I haven’t seen anything that stands out as bad. Seeing people’s responses that have not seen the movie yet are pretty hilarious, and it’s very telling that even with many positive reviews the people that complain (again about a show they have not seen) automatically believe anything positive must be from a paid Hollywood insider. Guess we will have to wait and see, but I’m hoping for it to be good.

I have never understood the whole "strike me down and I will be more powerful than you can imagine" We never see force ghosts do anything , their entire purpose seems to be some spiritual cheerleading squad. Last time I looked , cheerleaders usually don't win or lose football games.

So, here's the thing: George Lucas said that balance in the force means destroying the dark side and only having the light side. That is primarily in the context of how the force works and what Anakin's destiny was as the chosen one. However, what Leslye Headland said is that there is no good without bad or light without dark so to her there is only balance, I believe she means that in a different context than what George said. When Leslye said that there is only balance, she meant balance in a different way than what George said. She meant balance as in there is both light and dark and good and bad. I do not believe she was referring to how the force works or contradicting what George said. I believe she was just using the term "balance" in a different way and context than George, and I do not believe she meant that's what balance in the force means.

I think “The Acolyte” is a steaming heap of feces, excreted onto the “Star Wars” franchise by people who have nothing but disdain for the franchise, contempt for the fictional universe established in the franchise, and disrespect toward the creator of it all, George Lucas. “The Acolyte” is being made by a team that was carefully selected for, among their most important traits, utter and complete ignorance of “Star Wars” and even its most basic concepts. The show runner/producer, a woman who’s past calls into question either her integrity or her intelligence, if not both, has literally bragged that she intends to negate the foundational concepts of the “Star Wars” franchise, including but not limited to the nature of the Force, which eliminates any claim this series might have had to being connected to the “Star Wars” franchise, and who substitutes a twisted sociopolitical and sociosexual identity politics agenda and narrative for quality story and character development, while bald-faced lying by claiming that obvious agenda isn’t agenda at all, and by instantly donning her now-signature combination of overblown personal entitlement and perennial victimhood, resorting to SIGN language-Shaming, Insults, Guilt trips, and the desperate Need to be right despite the overwhelming mass of reality-based evidence to the contrary-in an effort to blame “a loud minority of opinionated fans” and “the toxic male demographic” for the failure of her series before it has even aired. The two trailers that have been released set records for negative reaction ratios across all social media. Given that trailers are supposed to present the best face of a production or series in order to whet the appetite of the potential audience and generate excitement and anticipation, the fact that both trailers for “The Acolyte” cratered with sickening thuds of failure speaks volumes about the series itself, and the disgracefully huge crater it will create when it similarly thuds upon impact starting June 4th. Sadly, as it has consistently done since getting its souled claws on the “Star Wars” franchise, Disney/LucasFilm will not learn any lessons from the experience, and will not make much-needed course corrections back to broad-appeal high quality entertainment and respectable box office and streaming service subscription revenues. They will continue to churn out insipid identity politics propaganda pieces, hiding under but paying no heed to the principles of legitimate DEI as both the all-important fan base and the general public continue to lose respect for and interest in the company and its productions.
