I can definitely empathize with that! Eating out has always been a challenge for us. I have to stick to a meal plan or I will forget to take meat out to thaw and then just give in to picking something up for dinner!

We look at all income as income and we will adjust our tithing and giving based on what we bring in. I know a lot of people base their giving on Net income, but we do ours off of Gross income. I believe it is a personal choice that everyone has to make for their family. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, "Each person should do as he has decided in his heart-not reluctantly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver."

This! I had massive hives for 2 months straight, every day, multiple times a day. I’m still getting hives, but not as frequent. Started after drinking a glass of red wine a night for a week. Which I never did before. Tryptase was elevated. So I was referred out to a MCAS specialist but I have to wait 8 months until my appointment…. Meanwhile I’m just doing the best I can.

What I was saying is that it is as cheap to buy a home as it is to rent. My brain doesn't always work when I'm writing at the same time. Also, this was my very first budgeting video so I wanted to show off what I would be using before I started the video. I'm sorry, I should stop commenting so late at night, that came out way harsher than I mean. That makes more sense (I'm used to a lot of money things being done by people who are out of touch. I've had to "anyone can buy a house if they could be bother" line too often). Someone had commented a time stamp so I was able to jump past the book bit if not interested (I use my computer for budget stuff). The fan wasn't too much of an issue just slightly distracting (I don't know how editing stuff works and if you could've put a box etc over it?

@@michaelaberry1276 No worries 🙂 I agree, it's difficult watching some of the people on here when it comes to budgeting. My family has always been on a lower income scale because I stay home with our kids. The only reason we chose to buy instead of rent is because the rent was out of our price range ($1,000+/month) and we qualified for first time homebuyers and found a really good deal on a foreclosure that was in really good condition! Nowadays the houses here are WAY too expensive to be buying on a low income. It is crazy how much can change with the housing market in just 5 years!

Yeah we've been low income and now I'm just coming out of uni. Wish I could've taken advantage of some of the covid help my government has done but that ends next year

I had never heard of Bella Taylor. I took a quick look and they are very cute! I, personally, don't like using cloth wallets, just because I tend to keep a lot of stuff in my purse (#momlife 🤣) and I hate when they get dirty! I have never had to deal with this particular situation. I believe what I would do is figure out what my absolute base income would be and make my initial budget around that. After receiving the income and knowing the exact amount for the pay period I would make adjustments as needed. You would never want to budget for more than what you might bring in though because then you might not have the money to cover all your expenses. I hope this helps answer your question.

@@AtHomeWithTori yeah I just use percentages and know my minimum I need for fixed expenses such as rent and what I would typically spend on gas. Then I just adjust the percentages as needed if I’m saving up in a certain category. Works for me!

I only have one checking but multiple savings accounts. I tried having a second checking at one point, but that didn't work out well as I wasn't able to get a debit card for it so I deleted that account.
